Christmas Wreaths

We made a gorgeous one that lasted for several seasons from a styrofoam ring and eucalyptus branches. It was fairly quick and very easy...just a red raw silk bow to finish it off.

Bonus: It smells great!

Do you have Garden Ridge Pottery or Michael's near you?

They both have them. Garden Ridge offers classes sometimes - so you could learn to make one and not screw it up!

Last year our local Boy Scouts were selling them door to door - a nice plain cedar one - smelled wonderful as you came in the front door - had a big red ribbon on it. We've moved, but I'm hoping the Boy Scouts near the new house will be selling them, if not I'm gonna get one of my old neighbors to get me a new one.

We have a store up here in BC called Chintz. I don't know if they have a website or not, but I know that they have incredibly beautiful Christmas stuff.

See what you think. My mom used to get them every year -- they're all natural and really well done. I can't remember a bow, but they're easy enough to take off if you don't like them.

Can anyone recommend a good place online or a store where I could get a nice Christmas wreath?

I can't recommend online but you can make a wonderful wreath from picks at a craft store real easy. I do it every year. I am finicky and like my own style.

Girl, you just poke it.

Hey, then I'd be GOOD at it!

Sorry, it's just been too long since I've hijacked a Lavy-thread.

Carry on.

I go for a cheery plaid ribbon, and a metallic silver or gold looks elegant sometimes.

I've never heard of these things called "Kissing Balls." That's odd, because my family absolutely adores decorating for Christmas.

Funny I was just telling Pipercatt I'd made these last year. I love them.

So this is out then?

Or maybe this teddy? LMAO! I'm so wanting to order this for perky's special Christmas prize!
