Normally, my own body is resistant to pretty much everything - but this time, he's given his latest cold to me.

In the past when I've had a cold, I've dosed up on vitamins and minerals, and let my body run through it.
But it's christmas - so today I'm off to the chemist for some major drugs so I don't feel like shit while I'm cooking the ham.
Who knew a person could feel like ripping out their own throat?

Yeah - the last 2 years or so haven't been spectacular.
On the plus side, I have managed to avoid getting the 7 other colds he's had in the last 6 months!
And my boys are an absolute joy... Unbelievable how they've stepped up since I hurt my arm
I'm rather proud of them

29 Dec, and my cold is now in my chest.
Fuck.
And who the hell decided that cough syrup needs to be 'pleasantly grenadine flavoured'?
Tastes like shit.
I bet the chemist gave me that one because it doesn't sell and they need to get rid of stock

Oh honey, you have my sympathies. I have been sick since the first of October with a combination of cold and bronchitis and its just now starting to clear up.
I found a combo of NyQuill and Oxycodone make EVERYtHING all better; especially the painful sore throat.
