Oh my god........so there's a recession? Oh yeah, then where are all those people we just had to fight through getting their money?

2 shops, and just about everything got that we need to get off to the states this week....that is if we want it to be there by christmas.

People, people, people, children, children, babies, queues, and more of the same in every freakin' shop..........had to get it done before the wife bit someone's head off! She hates shopping, with a vengeance, so I was proud of the way she handled it all. We just got out of each shop as fast as we could.

Now we're home, breathing deeply, taking a break before we start wrapping and packing.

You all done your's? No? Oh lordy, good luck guys.

:D:D:D

I love to go shopping with Amy. She puts on her "Goth" dyke outfit (which is her preferred leisure outfit) and, when she strides down an isle, it's like Moses parting the Red sea. The girls and I just walk behind her and giggle.

She doesn't get that she is intimidating the shit out of the "soccer moms," but they give her 2 -3 times the space they give everyone else. She hates shopping so much it's like she gives off these "get the fuck away from me" vibes that repel the hordes.

It prolly also helps that she "growls" when I make her look at a dress or a nice outfit. (The girls accuse me of doing this on purpose to keep her "force field" charged :D )

Will complete 95% of it online. Of that 95%, 50% is already completed. I still have to shop for ME, though. ;)

:D Thats cool.

As for me, eh, I am usually done or almost done by the time December rolls around. This year, I have about two more people to buy for.

It's a last "hurrah" before the depression hits, I think ;)

I don't do Christmas shopping. I never know what to buy anybody. If I think of something for someone specific I will go out and get it, but I have never had to fight through crowds to pick up an item for anyone.

I got a good chunk of mine done at the outlet mall a few weeks ago. I loved that place. I want to go back. Soon. I even got myself some really nice things there, Imp. ;)

I did buy one gift online and will probably get several more.

I'm not really worried about it, which is odd. I like to go at low crowd times, like Monday morning or around 8 p.m.

I just need to get some picture frames and a gift for my nephew. Though I expect the boys to come home with notes soon saying they are doing gift exchanges at school. *sigh*

LOLOLOLOLLLLLL

I can just picture that......I knew it was time to leave the store when Min started growling and barking at anyone who came within arm's length of her. Next time we should make sure she wears her Doc Martens and leather biker jacket. It might just work.

We do some of it on line, get it sent to Ma in law, and she wraps it for us. As it is, the stuff we've bought today and last weekend is going to cost us an arm and a leg to mail to States..*sigh*.

This year, so far, I have stayed out of shopping malls and only gone to alternative and off-the-beaten path shops for some fun stuff for my Canuck family and friends. Good news is that I won't have to tackle, trample or pull out a gun to get presents for my Portuguese family when buying them presents in NA, either.

hrrrrmmmmnmmmrrr (Lurch noises)

Haven't started yet. Usually by now I've lots of stuff ferreted away.

Usually by this point I am done and sorted and things ready to be mailed.

However, here in the floor lies a bag filled with xmas cards partly finished and a whole lot more to be done. Scattered are some gifts that have been bought for a few members of the family. Child is basically done because we over bought for birthday and saved. (thank god we had forgotten what we bought for her birthday and over bought) and rest of bits picked up rather easy. Then there is all of my family in the states and what has been bought you say? Couple packs of chocolate. Yeah this is gonna be a busy few weeks for the postman or I'll just send them all food baskets again. Can't decide.

You know last year he actually told us we need to go to stores more!

I'll bake a cake for anyone who volunteers to come help;)
