I need help to settle an argument please.

Are Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Life Of Brian, the perfect films to watch at christmas?

Personally, I say yes... just as Life Of Brian can be transplanted to Easter as well.

hmmm so? what do you think? Are these christmas films? if not, then what are?

Well, nothing says Merry Christmas like shootouts, explosions, and hostage taking, if you ask me. (Haven't seen Life of Brian.)

exactly! I know I have wanted to shoot some people at christmas when it all just gets to much :D

I can't even imagine what I'd do if I had a gun with me at the mall a week before Christmas.

and lets not forget that tedious christmas lunch with the family

Well, my family's quite nuts, so those are always fun.

So how can anyone argue that Die Hard and Lethal Weapon aren't Christmas movies? They take place during the Christmas season. There's gifts exchanged and the like. People are killed. Stuff explodes. Is it just because Santa isn't in either of them?

*sighs* Males.

Life of Brian please.
Very sensitive and heartwarming.
Perfect for Christmas and the entire family.

Edited to Say: Sorry, I was thinking about "Brian's Song"
You mean Monty Python right?

Sad. Very, very sad christmas films. :D

Now that would be interesting... A Lit Members Christmas dinner...

I'll bring the beer.

Ahhh... nothing like every Christmas, sitting around the tree, and watching the Nakatomi building get blown up again... as we all sing a chorus of Yippee Ki Ya Mother Fucker.

so you are saying Life Of Brian is an Easter film then? ;)

Gee, I dunno. I always think of Life of Brian as more of a Passover film, myself.

You also forgot Silent Night Deadly Night. That's a holiday classic.

No need...they supply everything...food...beverages...candy (even the best german liquor candies)...Kids are busy looking for certain ornaments that will earn them more candies. I'm fighting with my father over how many times I've gone back for food (he always says I went more than I say I did...he just wants all the food to himself)...and always on the TV are the old Christmas movies my stepmother has been collecting for years. No one ever pays attention to it though...too busy talking all at once and getting stuffed.

see, now imagine if those movies were actually interesting christmas movies like Die Hard :D

oh, and get stuffed, yourself ;)

:D I remember watching 'Bonnie & Clyde' for several Xmas' in a row! Fuck I love that movie!

Well..

Personally, I think Black Christmas is a good movie for the season. It does have Christmas in the title, but Diehard is a good second :)
