Years and years ago, when I and my brothers were kids, Mom laid down the law. You will never ever, even when groan ride or own a motorcycle.
After I graduated from college, moved out and all I bought an aerobatic airplane and was flying it. Yes, I had gotten a pilot's license. Anyway that Christmas when all of us were home visiting. One of my brother's was fussing as he wanted a motorcycle. He said "But my sister has an airplane, why could she do that?" I looked at everyone and said "Mom never said I couldn't."

Well I could put it on Dad. I mean the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and he had and interest in flying and when in the service was involved in the design of ejection systems from the planes....

Nodding it might be. Parents are Dad-engineer, Mom-nursing/professsor. Three of us got engineering degrees the other a Masters in social work. Guess we all picked the genes from the trees.
