Christmas Countdown

We used to cut ours up to provide visual aids with our Christmas lists :)

We didn't do lists. It was always a total surprise and always better than what we would have asked for. Even in high school we had no idea what we were getting. The Christmas when I was in the 10th or 11th grade my older sister and I got full length suede coats. I was floored and to make it better, they were for school! Those along with the other clothes made it a memorable Christmas.

I loved our trips to the tree farm...nothing says Christmas like a fresh Christmas pine tree...:)

I agree, but for the last 6 years of so, I haven't bothered to put up a tree. Live trees are nice, but so messy.

I wished they showed more Christmas cartoons like when I was a kid...

For anyone that hasn't heard the original story here is a 1974 Christmas Eve reading from by Jean Shepard on WOR Radio NY City. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p63ZKW7fVls It had originally appeared in Playboy in the 1950's before Jean compiled some of his short stories into "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash".

Got three CD's of Christmas music today. One has a few Andy Williams songs. Just watched a special on his Christmas Specials from the 1960's to late 70's. Brought back alot of memories.

i love Charlie Brown but my favorite Christmas Cartoon is "the year without a Santa Clause". The original Grinch is a close second!

You know it is Christmastime when a radiostation switches over to 24/7 Christmas music...
