Sometimes that's the best I can do, too. God has certain advantages, like being able to see into his heart; all I can do is look at the man's actions. I forgive him in the sense that I'd love to believe that he's a different man and that I'd be delighted to see him in Heaven as proof that he is, but for the mortal moment I don't trust him.
