Has anyone else ever heard of this? My latest novel (which, by the way, you can buy here)
is both religious and erotic -- a somewhat strange combination and we are having difficulty figuring out how to classify it and where to advertise -- but in the course of discussion, Terrie (the lovely editor of Club Lighthouse Publishing) mentioned Christian BDSM. I thought she was kidding, but I did a Google search, and sure enough.

Here is a link http://www.sexinchrist.com/submission.html

Some of the other links on this page are worth checking out too -- especially the one on anal sex. That was amost enough to convince me that the whole thing is a spoof. But maybe not?

As has been pointed out (possibly by Rob, although I'm not sure), there's nothing in the Bible that dictates against BDSM. In fact, there are several areas that seem to support it in some way. It does preach against many of the things that most of us enjoy reading about or participating in (multiple sex partners, gay/bi sex, cheating, etc...), but it's not all repression and angst....much of that was added by men afterwards.

And after all, the inquisition, as Christian as you come, could almost be credited with creating the BDSM genre....Certainly refining it to an iconic art form.

:D

Fisting and God's Will?

I think someone pointed me to these before *grins*

I'm just waiting for the jokes to start. *L*

I don't see why generally you need to class anything as specifically Christian BDSM, but if it's dictated by the themem of your book ,go for it.

Well, you have to admit, the way many people imagine God, He's the perfect dominant.

Imperious, cruel and not above raping your ass raw if He thinks you deserve it.

So Christian BDSM makes sense to me. ;)

yeah, but it's casting the dom/me as god isn't it, which would be idolatrous?

Either way, the link provided me with a good laugh :D

The Church would allow torture as long as no blood was drawn (does this sound like a debate we're having today?). That's what made the Inquisition so special.

Maybe in a sequel I'll get into it.

Actually, what bothers and/or amuses me more is the assumption of male dominance in the marriage. There is one place where it says it's okay for the husband to be submissive in bed, as long as it's clear he's in charge otherwise.

Fisting and God's will...

hehe

Anyway, a man wasting his seed anywhere but into the vagina is a mortal sin, in the bible. It makes the logistics of christian anal sex somehow complicated...

EDIT:

LOL

No extramarital sex, unless it is to illustrate the downfalls of adultery. The spouses in a Christian porn production must never have adulterous relations, unless they (and their partner in extramarital crime) suffer and are punished fittingly for their sins. (In deference to modern conventions, the punishment does not have to be one mandated by scripture, i.e., being stoned to death.)

Yeah, spoof.

But I did not miss the chapter where it is not forbidden for the wife to give her husband "light anal play".

There is nothing more evocative of the middle ages to me than the idea of a loving christian wife licking her hubby's love channel....

:D

The question is of course, does she float?
