I've actually had real masks made out of the smileys, which I use at home during sexual intercourse (fucking). It saves time on foreplay when I just put on the mask and tell my wife to bend over.

I stalk anyone that I've read interesting posts from. But I have such a bad memory that I tend to just go into all threads, skim through, get the gist of it and if it is interesting, read it entirely and respond.. if not, then I leave it at skimmed.

Stalk might be the wrong word. But I always check in on some posters if they had the last post in a thread (and the thread isn't total bollocks) because I usually enjoy what they have to say.

I noticed that some threads seem to just dog...then all of a sudden (all of THE sudden for you wierdos ) it takes off...then stalls (right after i post).

I usually go by title first, then creator..and also check out a few of poeple I respect (i stalk).

All of the above except the one that doesn't apply.



I've had that same effect on threads that you mention. It's enough to cause a simple complex.

I check out threads primarily by 1.) the creator, 2.) the most recent poster, and 3.) the person I am respecting/stalking. But, like Vella, my stalking target changes daily. I lurk a bit (okay, a lot).

If it's even a quasi-genuine poll, I'll vote. If it's political pissy-ness or just someone being achingly clever, then I don't usually.

I also try to rescue lost threads and newbies. I feel sorry for threads that just languish.

And I will be needing my own "I am a Thread Killer" t-shirt along with the others who mentioned this phenomenon.

Sweets wanted to know who the lurkers stalk – I'm not going to make a list, but I will say that I do always try to check out rhino's posts because I'm looking for the titillating illustrations. Greedy girl, aren't I?

The rest of the people I'm skulking about watching will just have to wonder…why do I feel like someone is watching me?
