So I'm leaving a class and I'm just kinda talking with somebody in it, mostly just small stuff, nothing big.

So we're just kinda walking along and they see somebody they know, so they say hi and then get into a conversation with them.

When can I keep walking? What are my obligations here?

Today it was with a cute girl. I did not break stride.

Edit: Seinfeld will never die in my heart.

Edit 2: Except when I die.

Just say, "hey, I'll see you later." as you walk off.

Spin, I rarely post on your threads cuz I always feel like I'm missing the joke.

I'm like a modern day picassio... THey won't understand all of this until I die.

P.S. Where is a good place to eat?

First, catch the cute girl's eye before you casually lick your eyebrows with your tongue. Then approach her as if you're going to introduce yourself and shake her hand. Pretend to stumble and place your right hand firmly over her crotch. Keep it there, wiggling your fingers wildly, as the "try" to regain your balance.
Bonus points if the cute girl is wearing a skirt rather than pants. Major bonus points if she's wearing a short skirt and no panties. Triple bonus points if she's not wearing panties and you work one or two fingers inside.
Apologize profusely when you step away, but not before making a show of sniffing and licking your fingers. Then make an off-hand remark about your friend's recovery from a sexually transmitted disease in case there seems to be any kind of vibe working there.
At that point you should excuse yourself. Once you are behind the cute girl, casually toss your pencil in front of her and ask her to hand it to you. When she bends over, crouch down and bury your tongue in her asshole. (This works best if the cute girl is wearing a short skirt and no panties). You may not have won her for life, but chances are you've got her for the night.

what kinda food and is it to impress a date?
and how expensive?

Katz's. Everything is wonderful. Drooool...

Po' Boys. Get the full length sub and keep the second half for the next day. It keeps really well, and some say it's tastier the next day. The hummus is tasty, too.

Red River Cafe. Similar to Magnolia, but a fraction of the crowd. Yummy pancakes.

Spin makes me laugh.. but I'm wondering if I'm laughing at him, his jokes.. or if it is that nervous "I just don't get the joke but don't want anyone to know I didn't get the joke" laughs.

In an awkward situation like that...."Well I'm going for a_____, do you want to join me?"

I think mine's the last, Freaksters.

Good choices, Mischka!! (except Katz's, but we'll agree to disagree on that one! LOL)

trying to think campus area...

Nau Enfield Drug Store for that retro feel. (burgers and cokes)

Trudy's right up on 30th & Fruth is gonna be packed but worthy.

Freebird's is on the RR, I think. Handy when you don't have to actually drive. Cheap, lots of food.

My brother was raving about a thai place on the drag, but now I can't remember the name of it.

There's a fanfuckingtastic sushi place on Parmer at Mopac in the HEB strip center called O'Daku. They do a happy hour on a la carte sushi until 6:30pm. The thai place next to it is supposed to be good. But this is far from you.

z'tejas in the Arbor.

but now i'm getting pricy.

No. It is for the pure enjoyment of it.
Let's say within the range of Chipotle... however if it's something that's just pure orgasmic bliss then I'll pay a little more ;)

Chipotle bites compared to Freebird's, IMO. lol

campus area or are you willing to explore?

When I go that way, I go to Airport Haven Hamburgers... a wait, but worth it.

Thanks for the tips everyone :)

Priority++ on that place then.

I'm willing to get around some. I need to find my way around.

Casino El Camino on 6th rocks for burgers, if you haven't tried them.

Tien Hong on Burnet for Chinese, but it's a little more than the average place. But it's really, really, really a mouth orgasm.

There's a new place in Gateway that's supposed to rock. Deli place called Manny Hattan's. I hate the name, but I hear nothing but good about them. (Gateway's where Best Buy is up in the Arboretum area)

(this is hard, I don't go out to eat much anymore! LOL)

Oh! oh! for sammiches there's a place on Far West called um. I think it's called Café Mia's. It's INCREDIBLY tasty! Their ciabatta is wonderful and they have some just really interesting combinations.

Katz's was Mr. Mischka and my first date, so I'm biased. :) We drank coffee and talked until 5 in the morning. I will always love that place.

Spin, have you tried the restaurant attached to Central Market? Some pretty cheap eats, and when the weather's nice, sitting outside is wonderful.

Pho '75 is awesome for pho. Light on the wallet, too.

For a more expensive (read: date) outting, Mars on 17th is good. Atmosphere is dark and sensual.

Freebird's is what Chipotle wishes it was. *grins* It's right up in the same area as the red river HEB...where Mars was. I'm pretty sure there's a RR stop right outside. It's in the detached building, facing I-35, basically exactly opposite from the record store there.

(it's also cheaper than Chipotle)

Oh! And the best breakfasts in the universe can be had any time of the day at The Omelettry, which is at Burnet and 49th. It's right across 49th street from Wherehouse Music.

Ooh! I love Mars!

Mr Nora and my first date was at the Denny's on Burnet and Anderson. We had french fries and cokes at 1am and laughed at the weird IBM guys who'd just gotten off 2nd shift.

Well, ok...that was impromtu. Our first REAL date was at the now defunct Uptown Enchilada Bar. Hillarity ensued, causing many of our fellow diners to wish they'd been seated elsewhere.

Ok, now I'm dreaming about the calamari at Fonda San Miguel. *sigh* I really gotta get a job. LOL

Oh! What's the coffee shop at Lamar and Enfield?? They have a crawfish quesidilla that's super-dooper tasty! Plus down there is waterloo ice house and amy's!! (although I still miss the original 34th st & guadalupe location *sigh*)

Oh, and Arranda's on Burnet. Cheap as hell eats, and it's pretty darned tasty!

Wait a minute - Amy's on 34th is gone?! Next to Mangia's? I swear I was just there.

You shoulda stoped, stomped your foot, rolled your head around a bit and said "excuuuuuse me..."

No, that one's still there. But the original was across the street and down right at 34th in the little yellow building where Avant is. I think they left their corporate offices there, though.

Do you like Mangia's?? I think I'm the only person who thinks they're gross.

Oh, Brick Oven on Red River at um...6th? Maybe? That's decent, cheap-ish italian, Spin.

OK, I suck at directions, and I was under the impression that the one next to Mangia's was the first. That place helped me find my first roommate, so that's my favorite location. You had me freaked for a second.

I'm not a Mangia's fan. I really really tried to like them, but those suckers weigh a ton and the insides are soggy. Not attributes I look for in pizza.

Exactly! To me it's like eating a lead weight with cheese and sauce. lol

I love Brick Oven's pizza, but I usually just stick to Pizza Classics cuz they're cheap and tolerable.

I've never been to Pizza Nizza though. I'm just not that big a pizza fan.

I can't believe we left Hyde Park Bar & Grill off the list. And Shady Grove. *drools thinking of a hippychick* I haven't been there in WAY too long.

I haven't paid at Chipotle for a while... they do good about keeping the free days open

And if you find something in it, you've hit the jackpot.
