The question is simple: what are you giving for Christmas gift to your mother and father?

My sister, who always take care of our parents gifs, just called me to say she didnt get any ideas this year, so I'm the on who is suppose to find a gift for each of them. What can you give to someone who have everything?

I only have half that problem, dads dead.

For the person who has everything you give them love and hope you're in the will!

A Lexus. Everyone should be getting a Lexus for Christmas.

That or a Mercedes from the pop machine.

My father is getting a movie he's wanted to see for a while now, and a box of his favourite chocolate cherrys.

My mother is getting a book she keeps pointing out to me, and a sweater.

Unforunately.......

I can not give my father what he want's for christmas.......
No one can.
My mother died a few months back......

Read between the lines......

How about getting them a gift certificate at their favourite restaraunt for a nice quiet dinner for two? Thnk they would like that?

Gifts for mothers and fathers...

Bread Machine??? why did that pop into my head??
Fruitcake (plug)

Gift Certificates to the movies (little dates can be nice if they don't do that sort of thing much)

Artwork (plug) But seriously, you may be able to find something very affordable locally to you, if you know their decor, and anywhere they have an 'empty' spot to fill. Just consider the surroundings you intend it for, their taste, and what is reasonable and have at it.

Favorite magazine subscriptions, or renew them for them and send the notice in a christmas card, and you can usually have it just activate when their old subscription runs out.

Bird Feeders and Food, Hangable Suet Cakes, and such.

I've run out. Sorry, maybe more later.

Alcoholic beverages. Favorite foods. ( at least you know they'll use it.)

Tickets to something.

Do they keep fish or feed wild birds?

Some of the best gifts I ever got were framed caligraphic versions of my poetry& framed photos of something that meant a lot to me. That's the kind of advantage family has when it comes to sharing the love on a budget.
