What a gentle and kinder place Canada would be if only they would outlaw hockey sticks. Seems like everyone owns one and many people more than one. It's a tragedy that leads to smug self-righteousness and extreme belligerence...

Of course there's a deterrent in Hockey. The penalty box and/or carried off the ice on a stretcher. Hockey is far more civilized and infinitely less cowardly.
