They can't transport 1 million to Taiwan. Not today, not into the foreseeable future. They can't project power. It's simple. They're a continental Army and a coastal Navy. One Sea Wolf class can sink all of their heavy sea lift capabililty craft without reloading. And that's today.

I'm not all that concerned about China's military power. And for all the hooplah, China has decided to compete economically. They'll do well for a while, and then the natives will get restless.

Yes I do have a point LT. I've only been posting it for two years now.

Who cares how they prevail? Really? China is a modern and sophisticated country, surely they're planning on cleaning up the mess they've made. Their internet censorship is backfiring on them as faster than they can throw the "Progressives" in jail. (If that isn't a hoot, what is? Conservatives being called 'Progressives." Ya gotta love it.)

Contain and enmesh in the world of business. Afterall, the Chinese want their children to have PS3's too.
