"Cool, maybe you could teach me some? My dad died years ago, but he always said a man is made by his scars." Jerome shrugged. "I figure the fewer I have, the better I am at not getting hit, ya know? No kidding? There's more of those kooks out there? I thought vampires were bad enough, my dad would always talk about the dead ones and how they stunk of the wyrm, I always thought he meant worms, but my mom says there's this force, like death and decay is a living, breathing thing... She's kind of weird sometimes, but I love her."
He edged closer to Sasha's side, feeling drawn to her and more than just for her looks. "This is my first run in with a hunter, I guess, yeah, I don't like him. If these idiots just got to know us they'd see we don't have to be enemies. I guess they just think we are mindless beasts or something? Dumb asses. We're Gaia's children, we're here to keep the world alive and kicking, yo."
"Well, okay, I guess I get that." He agreed, not wanting to think about psycho preachers when he had such a hot girl sitting next to him. "Yeah? Cool! I love making it! I make all sort of flavored jerky, sure beats buying it in stores, you know?" Was she blushing? He tried to catch her eyes but she was acting kind of coy. He kind of liked that. It meant that maybe she liked him.
"Oh god! You too? I hate those damn parties! All they want to do is get drunk and pass out. I'll take a walk in the woods over that crap, thank you very much."
"I used to think it was spooky as shit, but I guess I got used to it, well, as used to another dimension as you can get anyway. Mmm, the weavers kind of creep me out, its like we don't even exist to them. I guess that's a good thing though, the last thing Id want it for one of them to take notice of me. Hey, maybe I could meet you there? Next friday? In the umbra?"
Jerome nodded just as Sasha's room mate walked in before she could give him an answer about meeting up in the umbra.
