If I weren't on my phone I'd find all the posts by the RWCJ about how this wouldn't affect their profits.

I refuse to take full credit for having worn my signature since the beginning of the crisis; though many believe I am solely responsible for this policy shift I would like to share credit with many of my minions and other supporters.

you may now applaud.

please also look at all the LOON LEFTY who scream about FREE SPEECH and how they will FIGHT FOR THAT RIGHT:)

When this debate began, I noticed a lot of folks said something along the lines of, "I may not agree with their policies, but I can respect a corporation that believes in something and sticks to its guns."

I, for one, respect them much more for changing those ignorant policies, but I'm really curious about what made them abandon their so-called "ideals."

Nobody fought against their right to speak, we simply refuse to eat their food and help fund attacks against our right to live.

Nobody ever said freedom of speech comes with freedom from consequence.

This. Exactly this.

Chick-Fil-A has issued a company-wide mandate that will end its donations to anti-gay organizations and institute an equal-treatment policy of gay employees and customers.

Do you think the company's bigwigs really came to understand the social implications of their former policies, or were they afraid of eventual revenue loss?

Article has disappeared from the website, I presume chick-fil-a has changed its mind once again.

Looks like the Phoenix might have been trolled.

Not a meat eater so.......I could care less. They are religious so they don't believe in a person being born gay. They believe it is a choice, way of life. Although it makes no sense to me, it is what it is. They have their religion and way of life, I have mine.

I guess the latter? It's hard to imagine they've suddenly come to believe that the "social implications" are something they're opposed to. And they don't have to worry about reaction from shareholders.

This announcement seems kind of ambiguous the more I read about it. My sense is that we're going to get a "clarification" before the day is out.

Yeah, my faith in humanity only goes so far. I think it would be naive to believe they've had a real change of heart, but if the end result is the same...

I guess I'll wait to see how it all plays out, too.

The new announcement is out:

Despite reports of an internal company memo reversing our company policies, we at Chic-Fil-A reassure you that we remain committed to institutional bigotry towards homosexuals and remain committed to fighting against the abomination that is homosexual marriage. Please have more Chic-Fil-A appreciation days, with each Hatey-meal served we now give out a free "The Chicken Came First" T-shirt.

They probably didn't want to offend the muslims , so they took the statement down.
