Chernobyl, Bhopal, Greenpeace and ACLU Buzzwords…

A memorial for the Chernobyl Nuclear accident prompted me to refresh my memory and learn that 55 people were killed as a result of that disaster, mostly firefighters.

So I did a search, a ‘google’, and thought to look up Bhopal, the industrial, chemical accident that was also a human disaster. After browsing several sites, I could not determine the death count, search either, by name, Chernobyl or Bhopal and take your choice, there are thousands…

My not so subtle point is that the anti industrial, anti modern agenda since the 1850’s, opposing anything that progresses mankind, continues to this day.

Never mind that 62 million lives were lost in world war two because of socialist ideology, shout out that 55 lives were lost in a nuclear accident.

Never mind that the world prospers because of industrial chemicals, make the word, ‘Bhopal’, a Pavlovian response to word stimuli.

The left wing, the environmentalists, the ecology nuts, the PETA perverts, the entire anti industrial political left, wish only one all inclusive life style, a return to pastoral times where everyone by class knew what they were and what they were destined to and most of all, were guaranteed they never had to ‘think’ about anything, or make a ‘real’ decision about anything pertinent to life.

That is the key to understanding the left, the socialist, the democrat, the collectivist; they never want to have to ‘think’ on an individual basis and take individual responsibility for their thoughts and actions, they either wish to share thinking as a 'group grope', or ignore it as subjective, relative humanism.

Simple as that…they prefer to function as animals who emote, rather than humans who think.

Ya think we should have a cage for the lefties and observe them in confined quarters?

I do.

(I make note of this as the left oriented news channels are 'celebrating' the worst nuclear disaster in human history, with barely restrained glee at the failure of industrial efforts in one small degree...(choir applaud, detractors boo. thank you)

Amicus…

Leave it to you to take a day of remembrance for lives lost in a terrible accident and turn it into an anti-leftist rant.

I too have been reading articles and statements made about the disaster in the Ukraine 20 years ago. I haven't seen anyone seem happy about it, let alone gleeful.

Mostly, it has been observed for what it is, sadness at the loss of human life in an accident.

Ulaven_Demorte ....

There is only one over-riding reason the press would cover this event, you know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

Get real.

It's the 20 year anniversary ! Of course they are going to cover it. Wait, this is one of those vast liberal conspiracies isn't it?

Perhaps you have one overriding reason why you think things are done, but to other people, it's a telling of a story. You can spin it however you want, but people died and if this tragedy isn't a story, I'm not sure what else would qualify.

Oh yes, because they are against humanity, progress, freedom and life.

Silly us for thinking it's because it's the 20th anniversary of a Really Bigass News Event.

I did talk radio for 10 years in Portland, Oregon and dealt daily with anti nuclear freaks, I even went on a tour of the 'Trojan' Nuclear plant in Ranier, Oregon...

I listened to chants, "No NUkes, No Nukes, No Nukes!" for years as the left slowly squelched all further Nuclear Plant construction, nation wide.

20 years ago was 1986...that was when I was doing talk radio. I don't even have a doubt as to the motivation of the 'celebration' of an event that helped stop the construction of Nuclear power plants in America.

And if you are naive enough to think otherwise, maybe you are still a virgin?

No, Liar,...not at that time..they were college students then, and high school kids, under the tutelage of professors and teachers that came of age in the 60's and they were brainwashed that progress is inviting danger, that innovation connotes danger. They didn't understand humanity or progress or freedom and life, they never got the chance, they were 'conveyor belt' educated to chant and believe, not to think.

And yes, it was, 'Really Bigass News', but not as a failure of industrial America, or Nuclear Energy, as portrayed now and at the time, but of Soviet Communism and the abyssmal failure of collectivism everywhere it is tried.

But then, you already knew my point. Thanks for the 'top banana' opportunity to make it again.

Why do radio people think wearing sunglasses in the studio is cool?

I had an ex who used to do radio, who did that.. and a friend of mine married a guy who used to be a DJ... same thing...

is it a "sunglasses at night" deal??? Don't get it...

Is it just me or do the right wing proponents revel in namecalling when spewing ignorance? Anti-nuclear freaks, Peta perverts, et al.

The fact that you were in talk radio clears up a few questions I had formed about you Amicus. You sound to me most along the lines of a Rush Limbaugh, calmly twisting facts to fit your agenda, where busybody over on general is more of a frothing at the mouth, "I'll kill your pinko commie ass with my bare hands" Michael Savage.

It's 'cuz of the drugs that dialate the pupils and if they have to read copy then the lights have to be on, so the sun glasses keep the white paper from glaring in the bright light.
