how do i check my pm's or will i know when ig et one

you should get a pop up window that says that you have a new pm. it will ask if you want to open it in another window and then you click on yes and then you will get a screen that gives you the sender and the title that they used. click on the title and it will open. you can then read the message and if you scroll down there is a button on the lower left that says reply. click that and you can send a reply.
