Does support ever respond to anything in this forum? If not, who should I contact about problems with Chat? I have been having problems with the Ignore Function in Chat since some update they did last Summer. Every time I Ignore someone (which is frequent for most women on here) the system bumps me. The Chat page resets and puts me back into the Lobby. I have to close the page, then wait a couple of minutes before reopening. I have posted about this a couple of times and the only responses I get are from other users that have the same problem. Who can fix this?

the ignore function hasnt worked properly since i got here.. it seems fine for some and not for others. We have report this like 1000 times over with no fix.
If someone is harassing you in chat and wont stop, contact a moderator and they will get the person to stop.

I wonder why they won't fix it. I just want to be able to ignore those annoying people that seem to always be here and message you as soon as you enter a room...they same person, every time. Yeesh! It is just an annoyance and the Ignore feature was quick and easy to filter these people out.

it only seems to effect some people, so maybe they cant figure out what the variable is that causes it in some and not others.

Not sure who to ask but in the conversations---I wrote a long reply to someone and it would not send, the usual oops notice. I didn't want to loose it so saved it in draft. Now I an't find a way to pull it up so that I can try to send it again

If it was saved as a draft, it would probably still appear in the reply-message-box. Otherwise, it didnt save. I think. :)

Hate to rez this thread, but I tried making my own and the system wouldn't let me. The ignore button is malfunctioning in the chatrooms. I try to push it when someone is harassing me, but it doesn't work and I tend to have to beg them to stop sending me messages. I think a functioning ignore button would be good for people who are being harassed and would take some of the pressure off the moderators. Thanks.

I think it would be good to give the tech team some hints what system/browser you use. For example, I think the Ignore function worked for me using Firefox on PC, at least for one session. Reloading the page, and therefore re-entering the chat seems to reset the list of ignores.

It doesn't work regardless of what I do. And should it really have to be that difficult to make work? I am running Chrome on Win10, but this is more than simply a problem unique to me.

I am not a Mod, and not sure this is helpful, but I use the Lit chat Ignore function quite often and it seems to work ok for me. I was on Win10, now 11 and Chrome.

When you click/press on the Ignore button, does the user name in the right hand pane get a red circle on it, like this example:

Yes. I have been on this site for nearly two decades. I know how the ignore function is supposed to work. But I thank you for your attempt to help. I'll probably fiddle with it later and see if I can't figure out how to fix it for myself, since the tech support might not be available.

I'm just another user on this site, but here are some suggestions.

The problem can either come from the server side (literotica.com) or the client side (your computer & browser). Server side seems to be working so not much to be done there, so it's something with the client.

I dug up some documentation on the chat software, and it looks like the ignore function has two arguments:

This means the ignore function is room specific, so you could still get PMs from one room, even if you block in another. If you have a friend in the lobby, you could try an experiment to block and unblock them before opening any other rooms. If that doesn't work, the problem may be deeper in your browser settings. The function would be better if it took a wildcard for the room name, but I have no idea if that's possible.

The bit above about 'roster item of the user' suggests that information about blocking is tagged inside chat on an internal user object, so it's not going to be related to cookies or other files on your computer.

Sorry to hear that you've been getting harassed. A non-technical solution could be to tell them to leave you alone in the room itself, not just in PM. Creeps like that hate any light shining under their damp little rock, and being called out in the room may shut them up. Failing that, screen shot and send it to a mod. Fuck 'em if they get banned.

I have the same problems ... it will work for me but i get disconnected (without knowing) most of the time when i use it, maybe a couple minutes later. so i dont bother. i just x out any annoying pms without even continuing to read them until they get the hint.

NO THEY WON'T! The moderators here are 100% USELESS.

I have sent them multiple queries, not even the courtesy of an acknowledgement.
