Some twenty years ago I remember driving down the road with a Pogues tape in the stereo, blaring away, my buddy Ken beside me. He couldn't believe that someone was making that sort of music, and how good it was, and went out and bought the album the next day. Fast forward to somewhere about five years, and Ken and I were on the phone cursing a blue streak because we couldn't get tickets to the one show they did in DC. (I've spread the word on The Pogues to SO many of my friends, and viv and MIS both love them as well now).

The soundtrack of my youth would be equal parts Rush, Iron Maiden, and the Pogues, but it is the Pogues of the three that you'll find in my car right now.
