Character Scoreboard

I could answer for romantic partners, but not sexual partners.
I don't want to pry (well part of me does, but I know better). I can't imagine not knowing who you've had sex with, but I've lived a very sheltered life. My romantic and sexual partners are one and the same and I could count on one hand. Even if I had a major accident with big machines.

Yeah, if you run out of fingers and toes in the recollection, you've had an interesting life. I haven't - not even close - but she has.

I've done Body Count Discourse once in a story. There's no actual body count (I guess the MMC gives his -- two), but the purpose was to make a breadth-versus-depth contrast. The MMC has had far fewer sexual partners with whom he's explored his sexual preferences pretty deeply. The FMC has had many more casual partners and kept everything wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am vanilla. He envies her easy hookups; she envies the intimate partner trust he's experienced. Grass ain't always greener.

I don't know what the body count for any of my other characters is and don't really care. I think it'd only be relevant if it could be used to explain something else about that character.

Too young and/or drunk to remember. There's a question of substances being used without my knowledge as well. No confirmation of that because the person who could confirm is a habitual liar, but some suspicion of it remains.

So, no fucking clue with any sense of certainty because there were variables outside of my control.

I have written something similar 😁

But first time stories are boring. First times are awkward and unsatisfying. Tenth and twentieth times are much better. It's part of why I never understood hookup culture. You spend so much emotional energy trying to get some rando into bed for an unsatisfying, poorly calibrated fuck. Even the playingest players can only get two, maybe three hookups in a month. Jeremy and I have fucked almost every night for the last two weeks!

For all your sexually active characters in all your stories, which have had the most sex partners? Which has had the least?

My most: Bart in My Blonde Goddess ~300
My least: Liv in my awaiting publication Wallflower 1

Estimated lifetime totals.

BTW, for me, IRL, it's 19. I've been sexually active since my teens, and I'm unfortunately celibate now at 68.

Excluding a couple of prostitutes, I've never had a one-night stand. Also, I never had a threesome.
their lifetime body count? Never bothered to ask.
In the course of the story, highest I think is 1, the average across all my characters is some number <1 lol

* I take that back, there are a couple 2s.

I tried to work this out a couple of years ago, and it’s a fool’s errand. Romantic partners (where the feelings were reciprocated) is easy: two (though I denied that the first was really romantic for years). Sexual? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

In my story Little Lost Lamb, Jasmine has the most sex of any character I’ve ever written about, yet she doesn’t necessarily have the most sex within the story.

I think it’s ultimately the story itself that decides how much sex belongs in it. For me, it’s never the goal to write as many sex scenes as possible if they don’t serve the story.

I’ve never mentioned body counts in my stories, but most of my characters have single digit body counts, which reflects the real world.
The only exception would be Mistress Saysan from Kitsune’s Mask, but she’s a professional Domme, so….
On a related note, does a woman count a partner toward her body count if all she does is peg him and he does not give her any sexual satisfaction?

Do guys like keep a spreadsheet or something?

No, but I do keep documents about my characters. They include things as basic as physical descriptions and relations to other characters. Some are as esoteric as their orgasm style (moaner, screamer, talker, penetrative, manual only, wet, etc…) and their favorite food. I have not tracked a body count yet, but it’s never been important to a character yet. I suppose that if I have a character that gets obsessive about that (turns and shoots plot bunny with both barrels of a 12 gauge shotgun), then I probably will track that for that story.

The only time body count would come up in one of my stories is if one of my characters was listening to Ice-T, circa 1992.

1000 words into the story. It's both the Lothario and HR manager comparing notes. Some pathos in the plot; not every tick on the scoreboard is a good one.

Lisa again:

I do know one guy who kept a scapbook. His "Cuntbook" he called it and he showed me it once. Had the girl's name, several dozen in there, plus any notes or observations about her ("big tits," "grunted while fucking," etc.) a photo whenever he had one. And also lots of times he had a pubic hair taped into the entry with a piece of clear tape. Bizarre. I don't know a single girl who would do this sort of thing.

It's not body count discourse but one story that does (or did; I think it's gone by the wayside) use the scoreboard concept in a way that's a little more positive, I think (or at least interesting) is the series Senior Year Memories. It's a pretty generic big-dick-virgin-nerd-scores-slutty-cheerleader concept. But the opening of the story is basically organized around the cheerleader fucking the nerd and creating a photo album on his phone titled Senior Year Memories. Then she spreads the word to her equally-slutty popular friends, they take the ride and add more photos, and eventually people are having sex with him because they want to be in the album with the popular girls.

Interesting idea that, like many ideas in that series, should have been explored more rather than be buried under an avalanche of 18 year old [ethnicity] [cup size] [American high school subculture] beauties who all do butt stuff.

There was Wilt Chamberlain who figured out he had passed 20,000 women in his life. That deserved a spreadsheet. He was certainly doing a lot of spreading of the sheets.

As outrageous as that sounds, if he said that at, say, 70 years old, that meant one every day for 55 years presuming he started at 15. Doable, although a superhuman feat. It would take superior athleticism. And there you have it.

In working on my "spreadsheet" story, similar calculations revealed the MMC had ~4,000 fucks in his randy life with ~250 women. Over 30 years, yeah, possible.

At the time he write that (in his autobiography), it was 2.3 women per day for his entire sexually active life.
