Chapter 2 reject for AI but not chapter 1?

I find this completely ridiculous. I currently have a full length story that I badly want to publish. I planned to release them weekly, so chapter 1 takes like 17 days to be published. Chapter 2 is stuck in pending for almost three weeks before getting rejected by AI. I don't use AI at all, and both chapters are written by me with the same writing style, so what is going on? How can you accept the first chapter but not the second? I'm losing my patience with this site.

There are other threads here where people suggest content that might trigger AI spotter software. Search for threads with "AI" in the title.

Every rejection letter says "If you feel like this was rejected in error, resubmit with a note to the editor." Do that first.

EDIT: the editor does not know who you are, and is not paying attention to your personal progress story over story. There are some automated inspection criteria, and if a story fails then the story is rejected. You are one of a hundred authors submitting on any given day, so try to have some perspective.
