chapbook title help

as of now, i'm leaning towards Risking the Minotaur - but i'll have to write something that leads into the book as a proper link to its contents

yes - if you don't already have something that ties to the title, you will need at least one work that does. And think about ways in which other parts of your chap book ties to the larger theme - monsters? slaying fears? labyrinthine journeys?

I also quite like Cold Fire: Strange Flames

i have one poem, already published, that was supposed to go in, called 'labyrinth', but don't think its nature is gonna do the job as it's about memories in memory-rooms and how the brain is lined with them, how sometimes the doors stay locked and we cannot access them. i like the poem, but just not certain it would do the job.

what i plan on doing, is printing out all the candidate poems and then shuffling them around till some sort of order presents itself. i could do it on-screen, but i can't get that same sense of what works (for me) that way. i need it in my hand!

oh well, i didn't get my act together soon enough and rather than rush something together i'd be embarrassed by in future years, i've held off until i DO do things right and submit another time, same or another place. just didn't get those print-outs done - way too busy with the farm stuff. *sigh* something to learn from, though, and thanks for any input you guys gave me. :rose:

next time.

in the meanwhile, you can keep working toward the goal of having a finished product ready in order that you might more easily make the deadline at your next opportunity.

You'll get there when the time is right, it just wasn't right now but you will. I have full faith in you! :)
