goodnight darlingTime to crash. Gnite all![]()
And I haven't even tasted the plant. We shall have to agree to disagree on this one, I grew up eating fried okra.
Oh Brenda. When are we going to do this…I am sure that was on purpose - for maximum cringe reaction. But not personal.![]()
Good morning beautiful xOh and good morning folks! One of those when waking up is a challenge, but it's alright now that I am already having breakfast. Still haven't decided if I'll walk or take the bus today, it's the nasty +1°C with so much humidity it feels like freezing.
It is grown in the southern part of the US and is commonly offered as part of traditional southern cooking. It is a bit of an acquired taste. There are definitely folks that LOVE ocra and will go out of their way to have it, and others who have MM's response of gross. And I haven't even tasted the plant.
Goodnight!and just as Strix and the late night workers are coming on, I am going to head to bed too.
Goodnight chaos peeps
Okra is known by other names and a lot of fun.okra![]()
You can get the seeds even here, but it requires growing the seedlings indoors and a greenhouse to get anything to eat. And it definitely hasn't made it's way into our cooking. It is grown in the southern part of the US and is commonly offered as part of traditional southern cooking. It is a bit of an acquired taste. I fall a bit between the two ends of the spectrum - I did not grow up eating it (being a northern girl), but Mr Cas loves it and so I will eat some when he does - but I will not go out of my way to obtain it.

This is a really good explanation I'm actually a bit particular about ocra if it's not fried or like musey said in gumbo I usually won't touch it.It is grown in the southern part of the US and is commonly offered as part of traditional southern cooking. For me I like EDMI may not be good at much, but if I can show any of the younger folks some of the amazing songs by musicians who had actual talent (not computer fixed) from the past, I am a happy woman.![]()
No thanks, once a year every year we had to be blasted with born in the USA.Speaking of Bruce, going to KC to see him and then on to Tulsa two days later for another Springsteen encore.
I agree we all have a connection to the music we grew up on and it sticks with us our whole lives. For me I like EDM
Also IM humble O, I think Lady Gaga is the best female vocalist of the 21st century. Listen to her singing star spangled banner at the Super Bowl. I love her commercial pop stuff, I have very fond memories with that in the background.
Zas is a great French artist. Aviccii was a EDM dj/mixer and made some good dance music.
Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry, Pink,Sia all are on my phone and played in the car.
I grew up listening to rock music from the last century and some of its okay, I am more a pop girl. Springsteen was played to death in my house.
What I think I am trying to get across is that the music we listened to with our friends growing up is the music we relate to.
I love Lady Gaga. She’s so underratedI agree we all have a connection to the music we grew up on and it sticks with us our whole lives.
Also I enjoy Lady Gaga myself. My dad couldn't stand her at first, and refused to listen to her until I played him this video without telling him it was her. Afterwards caught him listening to her more then a few times lol
