Slept in, I got my nails done, now getting ready for a working lunch and then I’m on call tonight. Good times 😁
Sounds good for the most part (aside from the on call). Did you get your nails done while sleeping?
She would... but she doesn't wanna be responsible for breaking litπŸ€“πŸ”₯πŸ”₯
Well we have to put that to the test...for science purposes...

Whaaat!? What’s the fun in bowling if there’s no booze!? We should protest this.
I know, right? I think there are a couple of newer ones that have big ball bowling that have booze, but the old traditional ones with Candlepin bowling don't usually have booze... strange, because they're from my grandparents' generation & they definitely drank!

Oh, man... my grandparents had a candlepin bowling alley in their basement. My grandfather made it himself. I haven't thought about that in years!

My grandparents used to be in a league.... we used to have a ton of their trophies from bowling :ROFLMAO:

I also remember hating when Candlepin bowling used to come on TV on Saturday mornings - it meant the end of Saturday morning cartoons :(

I used to be in a Cartoon Network bowling league with my grandma back in 2000. I got a Johnny Bravo bowling ball from the league, and I still use it and won't replace it because of the nostalgia and the sentimental value of it

Now I'm looking up the regulation sizes of candlepin bowling... it seems what my grandfather built was like a miniature version - everything seems to be half the size. The pins were maybe 8 inches? The balls were roughly the same size as billiard balls... He built the lane himself, but the pins were plastic and the balls were definitely not handmade. He must've bought those from somewhere. I can't find anything like them at the moment, though... I'll have to keep looking.

Yeah, that sounds a little small (that's what she said ;)) The balls are definitely bigger than billiard balls. Those sound like skee ball balls, maybe?

No - I actually think the balls were stone - they were like a smoothly polished granite or something.
I just talked to my dad about it - he doesn't know the specifics of it, but he does know that that my grandfather built the lane raised up about 2.5 feet off the ground (which I also didn't know wasn't normal) because he and my grandmother loved candlepin bowling, but after she lost some of her mobility she couldn't bend down to bowl at ground level anymore.
