Moving on crutches tomorrow. They need to test the joint. I will be walking off crutches with a cane in about 3 to 4 weeks. I can ride a bike after about 6 weeks. Unaided walking after about 8 weeks.

I should be able to plant my veggies about the 24th of May long weekend. I hope to be on my boat by the 1st of June, in the canoe by the end of July.

Ice and controlled movement are you friends...and a tens unit. History of 6 knee surgeries before 40. Best, Tan.

You are correct, I counseled a couple per the judge in their divorce case, issue was "he is to big" seriously. Skinniest dude but wife had pics. All I could say was WTF (professional and all), girth of a wine bottle and 6". She was 5"0" and maybe 100. My notes to the judge, "she has a point."
Years ago but never forgot that pic.

Reading a bit and this seems like a pretty straightforward knee surgery (meniscus tear? Foreign body?) - either way they are so simple these days with arthroscopic repairs and have you feeling so much better quickly with more stability.

My mum had both done and was gardening within the month - just don’t push it, Mister, or you’re gonna hear from this nurse!

Yes nurse. I had a replacement 14 years ago. I fell hard directly on it and seem to have damaged it. (Lower leg is dislocated from the upper). The surgeon is not sure of the level of damage. It might be a revision or it might be a second total replacement.

The right one is still in good shape.

Oooph! I’ll cross my fingers it is just a revision (and a great implant). Maybe your poly just got a little wrecked and you need a new one… or a patellar resurfacing. That’s nice and easy.
