Chain Story Discussion

I just wanted to say that I enjoyed karmadog's chapter a lot. I thought it was creative of him to use the duality of the pendant the way he did. :)

Alright I am getting frustrating, it keeps disappearing after a couple of days pending, I know it isn't Laurel rejecting it because i get a note on rejections and it says rejected this thing is just gone, vanish like the bermuda triangle.

I am going to a friends computer some time this week and submit it from thier computer and see if that works, at this point i don't care if it gets a publicity bump I just want it to make it through the system and get to someone.

I apologize for all these stinking delays, I am so frustrated with my self

You may want to contact Laurel directly and ask her if there is another method for submitting. (Attaching a doc file to an email or something).

Just PM her and she will likely answer within a day or two.

Hey, is Todd's story lost forever? I'm just wondering, because my story was scheduled to go up after Quint's. I'd sure like to know if my chapter is going up this Friday or next.

And Quint's "Ivory" shows up in the New Stories list, but not in the Chain Story category.
 
Er, that's my fault, I believe....I must've stuck a "The" in front of "Talisman," and so I'm actually at the end of "The Maltese Fuckin'." Feelin kind of lonely out here...
 
Oh, shit. I think I stuck a "The" in there too. Well, at least we'll be together in the Boonies, Quint. ;)
 
Maybe Jumpin' Ahead of Myself...

Maybe I'm jumping a little bit since the year isn't over and neither is The Talisman, but I want to know about next years chain story. (My boyfriend's mom is already planning christmas, which I think is crazy, so geeze I am sorta being rushed here)

just a couple of questions. Where/when does it usually get started? what time of year and who's posts should I keep my eyes open for? I'm afraid of getting braindead and missing out altogether...

Chain Story - You start it, Chicklet!

I don't think there's a specific time, or a specific leader. If you want in on a chain story, start it rolling yourself. I think I launched what became Talisman, because I'd entered Survivor and wanted 'Chain Story' points. Some talented writers joined in (although I think Whispersecret got shanghaied!) and La Generalissima Judo took the helm. It gets untidy, so don't rush it.

I would like to think that at some time in the future we will all be able to collaborate on another CHAIN STORY; but at this moment I must say I am glad it is over.

Thank you, Judo. I value your praise a lot.

The twist? You mean the story of Maddy's parents? Heh heh, I hadn't intended for that to be a twist. In fact, Gaucho thought it was a little contrived. To me, it was just a God-send idea that allowed me to write a happy ending. (I adore happy endings.) After the sex, they were in bed, and Maddy just came out with that story. Go figure. Sometimes the characters are smarter than we are. (Did anyone feel it was contrived? I think it was to a degree, but not enough for me to change it. LOL)

Jeez, KM, do I owe you any money for that promo? LOL

And a big thank you to Judo for her amazing work on the introductory page and in organizing this months long project. We couldn't have done it without her. Thanks also to Laurel for her support.

And, no, I wasn't shanghaied. I volunteered. :)
