Caviar and BBQ ~ Worlds Collide (Close)

For as long as I want to be. My father took care of arranging dual citizenship when I was very young.

She moved to sit back on the car as well glancing to him. Those eyes she could not help studying them falling into them. He was so tender so caring so different from most who seek her time and attention and she really had found she preferred him to any other she has dealt with so far in her life like this.

Why did you stop coming here?

He looked away at that, staring out at the bay, his eyes suddenly empty, cold.

"Old memories, things, people I would rather not think about."

I... I... should we go?

She bit her lip worried her question had ruined things. She did not want to upset him and lose perhaps the only potential friend she had in this country.

"No!"

He spoke quickly almost too quickly, and instantly regretted it. His voice softened.

"No, we all have to face our past eventually, don't we?"

She nodded relaxing some and looked over at him.

I guess we all do at some time. So lets walk...

Slipping her hand into his she hoped it was a comfort as she smiled to him.

He looked down at her hand interlaced with his, and smiled faintly, he looked back to her, seeing the light bathing her beauty as though it were only now being revealed to the world. He felt like basking in her radiance, but instead just squeezed her hand gently, then walked with her away from the road, towards the small dirt path.

"You don't know anyone around here then?"

Just the people who work with me and for me. Not really anyone outside of that. Though I am sure mother will be out for a visit to check up on the business.

She smiled walking with him. It was so peaceful and quiet... she loved it and being there with this man she barely knew but wanted to know made it all the better.

"No friends? Damn, I'd go mad if I was like that."

I nearly did, once.

The path wound down through a small wooded area, nothing particularly impressive, but enough greenery to obscure the road before too long. It was unearthly quiet, nothing but the occasional chirp of a bird disturbing the natural silence of the area.

"What I love about this place is that no one else know's it's here, it's special, like my own private paradise. Though I haven't been here recently, not for a while in fact."

Walking with him her hand still twined in his she shrugged a little.

I have not been here that long and I am certain that many of those I work with are unsure about getting too close the owners daughter.

She laughed.

Maybe they think I am mother's spy or something.

She listened to him talking again about having not come here is so long she was glad that he wanted to bring her here. Though she did wonder why.

"You, a spy? I hope not."

He laughed, then became thoughtful, considering whether he should broach the subject that was bothering him.

"That night, you... kissed me. Why? When you'd just met me?"

I... I don't know. I just...

She looked away she really had no idea why she had it was just... it felt right... she had never really felt that way before.

His breath caught when she looked away.

"No, I'm sorry."

He reached out and stroked a few strands of hair away from her face.

I I guess I just reacted to everything that had happened. Was that not okay. If not I am sorry.

Turning to look at him as he brushed her hair back. She bit her lip as she stared into his eyes.

He didn't plan it, it just happened, as she turned to look at him he couldn't pull his gaze away. He leaned forward and he kissed her, gently, softly.

Then he pulled away, looking away in embarrassment at his own actions.

"Sorry, I didn't plan that, you must feel like I brought you out here to take advantage."

She was surprised but she was also surprised that she had kissed him that first time.

Its... its alright. We have both surprised each other and ourselves now... and I am not complaining... are you?

Brushing her hair back she smiled looking at him as they walked along.

He almost sighed in relief. He didn't want to give her the wrong idea of... anything. Then he chuckled, "complaining? Of what? How could I complain? I bet not many people get to enjoy your company like this."

It is rare anyone gets time outside of work with me. I had not met anyone who I would want to spend time outside of work with... till.... well now.

She smiled staring deep into his eyes.

"Well... More fool them."

He smiled back, then, seeing where they were now, pulled her off the path and down a short, but steep incline. It wasn't long before the undergrowth turned into soft white sand beneath their feet.

She was a little startled briefly at the sudden drop down the incline. Once they were back on level ground she looked to him.

What do you mean more fool them?

"Well... it means I get you all to myself doesn't it?"

He laughed a little.

"Unless I'm boring you?"

No not at all I had just never heard that before... that saying.

She smiled looking around slipping from her shoes feeling the sand and carrying them with her.

SO now where to along this path... lead the way.
