Cat

grrrr ... this thread got unsubscribed too ... had to hunt it down again

My cat moved back in with me ... this is the cat (Shug) who adopted me while I lived in a pet-UNfriendly building. So she went to stay with my parents back in Sept. I brought her to my new apt last night.

She is adjusting very well. :nana:

A little blurt here...

This whole pet food scare has me extremely nervous right now. I've decided to completely stop using any kind of pet food for my cats. It's spreading now to where they're recalling some dry foods as well as canned food...

From now on, at least until this gets straightened out, my kitties get spoiled. Since I cook for a living, I have access to fish at a decent price. From now on, my cats eat canned meats that are intended for humans, and fresh fish that I buy through work...

You should have seen the looks on their faces this morning when I opened three cans of tuna for them, and put it on a plate. They looked as though they thought they'd died and gone to heaven... LOL...

But seriously - this thing has me really nervous about ever buying pet food again. Lucky for my cats, in a way, though I'll have to figure out how to give them the other nutrients they need. I cook for a living, but my creativity is going to be stretched here: Never cooked exclusively for kitties before... How *does* one get them to eat broccoli?? LOL...

My cat is a riot!

Friday morning she woke me up by nipping on my ear.

This morning she kept trying to lift up the toilet bowl lid!

Aye yi yi!

Maybe ... ya think I can potty train her? It's GOT to be less messy than when she uses the litter box!

LOL - he knocks using the door handle - makes plenty of noise. And the doorbell is too high ...but I'll tell my friend to lower the doorbell!

I'm trying to figure out how to teach my cat not to do stuff ... she doesn't not like water sprayed at her. Any ideas?

Hehehe.. :cathappy:

Hmm, well ours get their paws smacked if they do something they shouldn't which kinda works, or you could try using pepper so she associates doing whatever it is you want her not to with having a sneezing fit.

I was at a friends the other day that has an enormous Great Dane, she uses a water pistol on him, the poor dog looks terrified of this lil gun... :D
