Cargo shorts!

I use dto have, what I called a "porta-purse", which was simply an army surplus belt "pouch" thingy, and had LOTS of stuff in there.

Funniest time, was when (pre-smart phones) someone asked for a map and I happened to have one of only the South East portion of the state in there....that was the area that was in question. I had only just picked it up somewhere.

I think that's it currently ...

jacket pocket...travel size kleenex, several times have either given obe or two or the whole pack, depending on the need.

so... Some give me funny looks, some don;t look at all, some look away.
but when there is a need, most are appreciative, even if they laugh at/abut me.

I had a pack of waterproof matches once .... weakest wood ever. Couldn't believe it. Would crack in half as I swiped but hell, they lit on a soaking wet camping trip.

Yeah, trick to them is to wrap the matchbook around them and pull it out (I know, ignore the obvious joke). Don't push/slide it along to strike it.

Or, I put it up against a rock, and use the box along it instead of the other way around....

Best gift I ever received was a Swiss Army knife from my mother in law. I expected two blades, maybe scissors..... she got me the hero of army knives, plus the leather case. It's above 1 1/2 inches wide. Matches, notebook, band aids, fish scaler, ruler and on it goes. I LOVE IT!!!

I like cargo pants. Lots of pockets and stylish, but cargo shorts look silly because the pockets go down to the hem of each pant leg.

Of all the posters in this thread, you've all forgotten one thing about cargo shorts. Their best feature. I couldn't care less about the pockets and all the things that will fit in them.

Like athletic shorts, they have wide legs. Just enough room for someone to slip a hand up there.

Cargo shorts, cargo pants been helpful in COVID times— an easy reach pocket for mask(s).

I've also come to prefer my wallet in a thigh pocket, rather than sitting on it when driving, etc.

quite a zombie thread but what? I think cargo shorts on men are very sexy. plus, if I don't feel like carrying a purse, I get a pocket. Because not like women's clothing has functional pockets. Maybe it has to do with area, as with Florida heat, shorts are common, but most men who work or play outdoors wear cargo shorts. What do they expect men to wear, khaki shorts? How painfully boring and yuppy. I am sure those do men do nothing outdoors besides play an excellent round of golf, couldn't change my oil in my car, and won't be screwing me fucking phenomenally on the hood of it. plus I can't find a beer in their pants.

I do like cargo shorts with real shoes though, like sneakers or work boots. barefoot or sandals are fine if that is best for the event or purpose but lets be real, men do not have cute feet. showing their feet is not improving on sexy. Showing they have functional footwear to do physical outdoorsy things, that does.

I quite like my feet actually. Not saying they're sexy, but they're a part of me that I've never been unhappy with. Plus I used to be able to play computer games with my toes...
