"I suppose so," she said. "I never really understood the concept of revenge. I mean, getting even, sure, but pure revenge? I really don't. It's kind of a useless emotion."

Alexis woke up early and finished packing up their gear, dressing warmly for the weather outside before gently rousing Nikolai. "Nicky? Let's go," she said softly.

Nikolai took a longer time than normal to get it together due to his leg. He picked up his suitcase and said, "Let's go."

Nikolai laid back in the limo as they were driven to the airport. "What do you think we could get Lydia to do for us?" he asked.

"Keep us in contact with Sergei and Georgia, maybe let us know what's going on there so we know whether or not to come back over. She probably has Mikhael's contact information," Alexis said, smiling.

Alexis smiled and helped Nikolai into the plane and propped him up on the couch, making sure he was comfortable.

Nikolai found a way to prop his leg up and got a glass of wine before the plane took off, pouring Alexis a glass as well.

Alexis kept an eye on him while she did paperwork, sipping on her wine as she did so.

When they touched down in Copenhagen for fuel, she woke him up. "Hey, do you want me to get some food?" she asked.

She smiled and kissed his cheek before disembarking. She returned a few minutes later with huge cheeseburgers for the two of them. "Rusky, I'm back, come on," she coaxed him awake.

"You should see the German ones," she said. "Plus, you can get a whole liter of beer to yourself." She grinned. "Did I do good?" she teased.

"A few more hours, it's about a four hour flight from Copenhagen to D.C," she said, smiling and kissing him back.
