Smiling then grimacing as the pain went through her head at the medic, an older gentleman named Walter, came in to see her. "Alexis, what's going on?"

"Well, I was just in the range, shooting, and my head started hurting something awful," Alexis whispered. "It feels like my brain's being blown up with C4 and then being rummaged through with jackhammers."

The doctor gave her a customary examination and gently felt around her head. "Seems to be a migraine. You've had these before; this one's just a bit stronger. Lots of sex, lots of caffeine. Mainly the caffeine, since I know you all too well."

Alexis rolled her eyes. "Say sex happens, because I make the idiotic mistake of getting drunk," she asked. "How should it be like?"

"Slow, sensual. Making love. Not fucking." Walter eyed her suspiciously. "Does this have to do with him?" he nodded his head toward Nikolai.

Even in her weakened state, she bristled. "Yes." she snapped.

"I'm just asking. As long as he doesn't hurt you, or kill you, I don't care. He cares for you?"

"Yes."

"Then I have no objections. If he makes you happy, then he's okay. He's always accepted here."

"Thank you," she whispered, thankful that her old friend was understanding. "Can I leave?" she asked plaintively. "I want a nap."

"Yes," Walter smiled. "Go be happy, sweetheart."

She beckoned Nikolai over and he supported her back to their room, where she promptly fell on the bed.

Nikolai felt a little bad about Alexis' condition. He had screwed her hard and fast without realizing that this could be a problem. He napped himself for a bit. No sense in running around by himself.

Alexis moaned and woke up to Nikolai sleeping quietly next to her. She snuggled closer, her head still pounding. Drapping an arm around him, she went back to sleep

Alexis woke when she heard the door close softly and saw Nikolai through her half shut eyes. "Hey," she said with a weak smile.

"Awww, you're so sweet," Alexis said quietly, propping herself up and gingerly eating the jello and drinking the ginger ale. Her head felt a little better, but not much.

Nikolai sat on the edge of the bed and ran his fingers through her hair, like he did fir his sister when she got migraines as a kid.

Alexis cooed softly as he ran his fingers through her hair, soothing her as she gently sipped on the ginger ale, the jello having been decimated.

When she finished, she leaned up against him and smiled. "Thank you," she whispered softly.

Nikolai moved down to the foot of the bed and removed Alexis' socks. He applied pressure with his thumbs, massaging all over her feet; softly caressing the tops, pressing harder around the insteps and balls of her feet, and paying particular attention to her heels and soles.

Alexis sighed and moaned, whimpering whenever Nikolai worked on a troublesome knot in her feet. She leaned up against the wall, her head cradled by a pillow, and let him work. She had always massaged her feet herself, and after spending several years wearing either combat boots or high heels, she was sure they could use it.

Nikolai finished with her feet and worked his way up her legs, starting with the knots in her calves. After feeling them, it was no wonder she ran so fast. He moved on to her thighs, slowly applying his attentions with the heel of his palm to get into the deep muscle.

Alexis closed her eyes, moaning and occasionally whimpering as Nikolai massaged her. "That feels good, Nicky," she whispered softly. Her head still pounded and she still felt weak.

Nikolai turned Alexis over onto her stomach and knelt so he was sitting on her ass. He used the position to massage every inch of her back, rubbing up and down her sides and really rubbing around the neck and shoulders to relieve some of the pressure that might have been causing the migraine.

Alexis tried her hardest not to, but she fell asleep as he massaged her back, her migraine clearing up a little bit. The massage felt great and she was thanking the heavens for blessing her with such a wonderful man, and she was about to give Nikolai a compliment. . . but she fell asleep.

Nikolai smiled as he saw Alexis relaxing. Her migraine was going away, and he had helped. He left to occupy himself as Alexis got a well deserved rest.

Alexis woke up after a few hours, feeling a bit nauseous, but her migraine had subsided to a dull roar headache. And her body felt extraordinarily loose. She found her ever present water bottle and sipped from it, realizing then that Nikolai had gone. Probably down to the range, or to the canteen. Or somewhere.

She propped herself up on pillows and waited for his return, passing the time by reading.

"Yes, sweetie, thank you," Alexis said wrinkling her nose at the chicken noodle soup. She wasn't a fan of it, not since her big brother was being a boy and placed a few spider legs in it. Since then, she's gotten beyond that, but she still avoided it.

However, she knew it was the best thing for her. Taking it, she slowly started eating it.

Nikolai smiled an said, "Rest up and eat, I'm getting myself a sandwich. He left and came back with a cheeseburger. "American food is great."

By the time Nikolai returned, all of the chicken noodle soup was gone and Alexis was curled back up under the covers.

When Alexis woke up again, the headache and the nausea were finally gone, and she got out of bed and went into the bathroom and filled up the tub, sighing. She had been overseas for months, and she almost never had a tub.

When it was hot, steamy, and the tub was filled, she stripped and sank into it, feeling truly relaxed.
