Sorry about this frivolous nonens post.

It's 4 in the morning here, and I should be getting up in two hours, be alert and ready to go to work. I need to sleep so bad right now, but it's just not happening.

So someone, say something boring.

Or bring on the sheep. I've heard there is some ram and ewe expertise in here. Line 'em up. I wanna count.

:(

Rats!

If I had known you were up, I'd have chatted with you. I didn't fall asleep until around 3-4 myself. Though I'm sure that this morning's visit to the dentist regarding an aching wisdom tooth had nothing to do with my insomnia.

Well, *I* did not need to sleep, but the Sexual Behavior one was just too good to pass up. If I understand the research correctly the goal should make sheep tick condom maker industry very upset. They are basically trying to confuse the males so that they get so excited they don't bother mating with females, but end up 'spraying' in space, thereby completing eliminating the need to make the condoms and hiring the 'condom installers'.

Very devious research

What bothers me is that it seems like it was found during a Google search for "sheep copulation". Dita dear, exactly what are your intentions with my lady here?

Cake bloke, my only intentions were to occupy her mind while trying to get to sleep. Sheep counting is the cliche, and as this is Lit. I added the erotic element.

And where were YOU when she was bored?!

Perdita ;)

In the same room, snoring away happily. She'd only have to throw something in my direction. Don't blame the cake, the cake had no idea.

M is 3-months pregnant (only one kid, though), and she has trouble sleeping due to nausea. I've told her that it's OK for her to call me at 2.30 am, I'm usually up late anyway, but she just doesn't do it.

Lin, how about the three of us non-sleepers join forces and demand beter TV-programs between 1-5am?

You mean that reruns of Hawaii Five-O and Walker Texas Ranger doesn't qualify as good TV?

ps. I don't blame the cake. But I'll remember to take a big bite next time I can't sleep.

Oh, I remember the can'tsleepitis when I was pregnant with my twins. Unfortunately, it doesn't even get better after they are born (hehe, well eventually it does.)

I hope that you have an uneventful pregnancy (just being pregnant with twins is an event in itself, but we want those babies to treat mama right and stay in there as long as possible!) and that your sleepless nights are few and far between! :rose:

That is a great line, use it. Start another novel with it.

I feel a whodunnit murder mystery at a wedding reception coming up...

Thank you. :rose: It's not the pregnancy actually. So far, they're really friendly in there, and I sleep like a baby most nights. There's almost no nausea either. I just do like this now and then, have always done.

That's great! Most of my sleeping problems happened after my belly got a pretty good size. I couldn't get comfortable and because I am so short and the babies were squishing everything, I tended to get heartburn quite a bit, so that didn't help either.

I didn't have much nausea either, was blessed in that. The smells of certain foods did bother me though and if I smelled eggs or hamburger meat being cooked, then I couldn't eat it, lol.

I hope you keep us updated on how things go. After having twins myself, I find it very interesting to hear about other moms' experiences.
