If you are logged in there, you should be able to get into chat. If you aren't logged in there, please login and the go into chat and see if it works.

I think there might be some issue with the old bookmark (literotica.com/newchat/) not working as expected, but if you make sure that you're actually logged into the site (not just the forum), then it should work.

Again,we are working on it now, but making sure you're logged in may fix the issue for you right away.

Also, there is a 60 second delay if you logout before you can log back in, but that shouldn't have changed from the previous chat.

Finally got into the new chat. It’s TERRIBLE!!!! Who thinks these improvements up?!?! You need to fire someone and bring back the old chat. Old lit chat was quirky but at least navigable.

We're fixing things as fast as we can find them, but you're more likely to find them than us, so let's make a list.

I'm using Chrome and have the same issue as others. Been this since Friday, Thurs all was good.

Finally managed to log in. Indeed, you have to be logged in the "right" way for the chat to recognize you.

Looks like unfortunately Lit has at least 3 separate login systems. One for the chat, for these forums, and for the rest of the site. I assume it's because it was easier to use those platforms "as is" without integrating their security system.

Of course it's bad, but I also value everything Lit gives us without charging. And fixing it will be an actual coding undertaking (you don't wanna screw security).

That said, the more "pressing" problem is that the chat welcome page logs you in - you fill in your credentials, and get a happy blue button "Log in to the chat as [your username]" - and then things break down. (The chat itself "pulls" the authentication from somewhere else.) As indicated by the replies, the mods are away of it and this is the first thing to fix.

"Method Not Allowed" errors aside.... The new chat looks almost identical to the old.

Except that the room list is tiny and harder to navigate, and the UI is not responsive (doesn't fill up the browser window, and it used to). Everything else is identical. Hell, even the biggest flaw - that private chats are "tied" to the public room you started them in - is just the same.

I hope this upgrade had some massive benefits on the backend not visible to us users, because otherwise it was a big waste of effort for absolutely nothing.

Sorry about the issues. What browsers are you having trouble with? We have tested in all of the major browsers, and I just tested again in Chrome and Firefox and Edge and it seems to work from here.

IE can be an issue, which is why Microsoft replaced it.

Dude, it has been happening to me since 2007. I am on the TOR browser. I can try with Chrome too.
