Never dipped deep fried battered mushrooms in blue cheese before but...that sounds good!! But...I'll skip the beer...I don't like beer be it canadian....american...german...yuck!! Give me wine any day!!

*Giggles* Well I am in Quebec, we don't have mushrooms in our burgers, neither mayo. Mayo on french fries is a belgian thingy I think, but taste good.

*Licks lips* Hmmm ever tried poutine (quebec dish by the way) with pepper sauce instead of ordinary gravy bobtoad?? And don't forget the squikky cheese (however you spell it, sorry my french.

Hmm I guess we are weird us canadians in our lil way. Ever heard of the "Pate Chinois" (don't ask me what would it be in english, traduction would say chinese pate LMAO), consist on cooked ground beef, covered with a layer of cream corn, and then topped off with mashed potatoes. Yucky mix but taste good. *giggles*

*shakes head* I wonder why I'm writing this. Oh well.. :p

what you discribe sounds like Shephards Pie which is really tasty.

yes i know true poutine is made with pepper thats why i never called what is served elsewhere by that name cause it is disrespectful.

i thought it was curd sheese that you used as well but my apologies.

Do Not get me started on Shepherd's Pie!

The last time I was in England I was introduced to Pub Food and man, that pie is something else!

those burgers sound good, need some green chille though. without Canada we would hvae 16 more states.

yeah that sounds just about right. How about you do you squeek when you are eaten ;)

Ohhh I thought the expression was squirm then..LMAO combined with moans, groans, yelps, screams, etc. Funny thing, I know all the bad words, but the good ones (or is it vice versa) they slip my mind. ;)

well thats what I meant but you haven't answered the question;) are you trying to hide something;)

lol, damn americans

I live in "Ontario" Canada, and to tell you the truth, I have never heard of mushrooms in the burgers here. Also, did you know that you are knocking the #1 market for quality meat. We have the best rated meat, "live and dead" ;) in the world!

And about the poutine! that was invented by Burger King which I am not sure about but I believe that is an american company!

have a good one and stop knocking the Greatest most friendly cleanest #1 place in the world!!!!

just my opinion of course!

Me yes me squirms lots and other things *blushes* :).

I think I will go do some research, I am about sure poutine was first born in Quebec.

I'm also from Ontario, and I think Passionee is correct, poutine did originate in Quebec. Considering you can't even get poutine at the BK here, I'd be surprised if they invented it.

When I was in Quebec, I had Pate Chinois. My French family was trying to explain to me what it was for the longest time before we had it. My French mother didn't want to make it in case I wouldn't like it. When I realized it was just Shepherd Pie... heck! lol!

I also had some kind of thin meat that we dipped in some fondue. And it had about 3 different kinds of sauces with it. I can't remember what it was called, but I know I didn't like any of those sauces. <shudder>

As for that mushrooms in the burgers thing, I don't think that's a Canadian thing. I think it just depends on where you end up eating. I don't think it's the norm or anything. <shrug>

K

You must of had chinese fondue!! It's very good, they are lots of different sauce you can make, I guess you were not lucky!! :)

i cannot beleive this ...

i have never in my life eaten a burger with mushrooms cooked into it ... maybe you were in a bizarro world Canada...

yup that must have been it ...

a bizarro world Canada where Faith Hill lives and where they eat mushroom (oh yea baby what kinda mushroom WERE you eating anyway, Celeste???) hamburgers ... and use mayo instead of ketchup ... lol ... ;)

and of course it goes without saying that everyone in bizarro world Canada is a weirdo ...

ok i do eat vinegar on my fries ... but the Brits started that way before us Canadians ....

and i think Celine sucks.
