I am a proud card carrying member of the Shower Singers of America and Southern Canada. I sing to the radio, my playlists, and even TV when they actually put music on there.

Point being can you sing? If yes, can you sing in front of people or crowds. What do you sing? If no, is it because you can't carry a tune or because you are shy?

Now on those same lines there is always one song you can sing. I mean no matter what this song is one you can belt out like a pro, what is it?

In a word, no.

What she said.
At least, not any more. Used to be able to, but smoking and asthma have played a part in the deterioration of my voice.

So, no.

:D

I guess having a car that dies every time you turn on the radio kind of makes it hard not to sing or talk to yourself.

I'm just odd then?

I answered the question... CAN I sing?

Not... DO I sing?

But I plead the fifth on the whole torture my dog with caterwauling thing.

Yup. Constantly. In the car mostly, though the shower gets more than its fair share of punishment. ;)

As for that one song, Melissa Etheridge's "Don't You Need" figures heavily in my shower repertoire.

Ooh! Ooh! I can do a mean "Similar Features"! Complete with hiney twisting and dramatic interpretation. :D

Okay, I sing constantly, just not very well. ABBA - "Fernando". Many others. Lucinda Williams gets the treatment, too.

I can sing and I frequently do. I was in college being groomed for the stage when I decided that the direction my life was heading was best left to raising my children, not chasing dreams of fame. I now am the star of the karaoke bars in the vast metropolitan that is Clovis, New Mexico. :D

Can I and do I?

Yes, in a slugger-ish kind of way. Good enough for some music but not enough for other. So I tend to choose my battles.

I can sing, I do sing and I will sing, the question is , do I do it well? NO not actually, but hubby did say, when we attended church on a regular basis, that as long as he stood beside me he could carry the notes because I sang in tune and could follow along.
Im really bad at singing with the radio though, Im always seconds later with the actual words because my memory is so pathetic.
I will continue to embarase my kids and sing to my hearts content in the car, with or without their friends in attendance!

yes i can sing
yes i do sing
sometimes well...sometimes not
will scream sing in the car
will sing in front of others when with another singer or getting tipsy.
angels and devils...toby lightman is one of my faves...i can belt this out and it kinda scares me sometimes...

I can sing!

We sing all the time. All of us in the family, my husband and I and my two kids.

Best, most portable fun available for the whole family, and it can be done in public with people saying "Awwwww..." which is why sex isn't the best, most portable fun available.

I listened to a mezzosoprano on PBS this evening. The purity, clarity, crispness with rounded borders to her voice is what your voice has and why your singing is so lovely and why so many people love your reading of poetry. It is a gift rarely given.

.....and how many times have I made this comment about your voice???

*bowing*. Thank you bestest buddy for backing me up.

People, we gotta get together for a jam one of these days.
