I'm looking for an established author with experience in the NC/R space to help me work through some concerns with a story I have been working on. The story itself is not NC/R but does contain a scene in which the MC is drugged and ends up getting used at a party. I'm trying to be sensitive to my readers and want to make sure I'm dealing with the fallout appropriately, so this would be less an edit or a beta read as it would be a directed review of a specific aspect of the story. Of course, any comments and feedback on other areas of the work would be appreciated.

I expect there will be some back and forth discussion as it is a complicated issue with other considerations. I'm intentionally being vague as I think first impressions of the issue would be important.

If you think you might be interested, please DM me for more specific information.

Thanks is advance.

I don’t write sexualized NC/R.

I have written non-sexualized NC/R:
  1. A realistic reluctance once, due to manipulation and poor self-esteem of the FMC;
  2. A satire of rape porn and 1984 homage where the MMC is repeatedly raped femdom [and of course enjoys it FFS];
  3. I’ve included rape in fantasy settings where the victims are supernatural and not impacted the way a human woman would be (they also heal in minutes from deep stab wounds) - obvious psychology, right? - and the perp ends up in a new pit that Satan is trialling.
None of this is written as being titillating. I only list the above lest I’m accused of being hypocritical.

I’d recommend you talk to a woman author who does NC/R (or their own take on it). Hopefully one will come here and volunteer.

But bear in mind - some women - including me) will have a pretty strong adverse reaction to the topic.

Discovery and prison for the assailant....
Public humiliation as he's named and shamed.
Disowned by his parents family and friends...

Any thread is enlivened by Firefly references.

I was re-reading Determination and - among many others it includes:

  1. Nothing twixt my legs…
  2. I’ll be in my bunk
Em
The same story also includes:

It was perfect and there was only one possible response.

"I love you, David."

"I know."

I suppose he had always known.

Which makes sense as the octopus saying “I know” is telepathic.

Perhaps as karma he could find out hoe Non consent really affects victims.
Lets not forget that the recipients are victims, not lovers...
They have been sexually assaulted.
Their lives possibly destroyed forever.
Never able to trust or be part of society.

With you. But also given up on this place ever wanting to hear this truth.

Curiously, wanting to make sure that truth was properly displayed and dealt with was the genesis of this thread. Some of the responses I received supported your conclusion. That's why I'm rewriting.

@EmilyMiller – I've stumbled into outer space by clicking on this link and then your mention of re-reading Determination. It was a magnet attracting a simple click to see what was up with that. That story - so far on page two - is a mind-bending one of amazing imagination. It's a hell of a story at this point... So I'm now hooked on finishing it. You are a bad girl, Em.

Glad you like it. It’s the poor relation of the Coeloidphilia trilogy, in terms of rating, but I’m fond of it.

I've used "nether's" in a couple of stories. I just tickles something in my brain. Besides it's a damned good descriptor and much different than anything else in my bag of erotic descriptions.
