Can they read my mind?

My muse is out of control today. Most of the day I functioned with my characters having life-or-death dialogues in my head. Unable to write anything down, the scenes kept developing and growing...since I write for lit, suffices to say that I spent the day also thinking about sex. Lots of it.

That the clothes a woman wears affect the way she will be treated, that I know ever since I read the Mists of Avalon, and I was something like twelve. In that book the priestesses make themselves more or less noticeable by a play of clothing, attitude, and plain suggestion. I usually wear quite a business front which some people think is plain scary.

Today I just had another reminder that we project a lot of what is on your minds. Going around thinking about sex apparently gets you noticed.

A group of guys appeared to ask for directions, and apparently all they wanted to know was ... which cell phone provider I use. (yeah right, in the middle of traffic!)

The gas attendant at the station insisted on helping even though I had used the self-service lane, and they remarked what a lucky guy the warrior must be. (why, cause I can pump the gas by myself?)

Anyway, all is lost. The entire world knows what I have in my mind!

:O

Thanks maharat, elfin. :)

I've got an original vinyl of the album that song is on. 1970. One of the first records I ever owned.

Christ! That was almost forty years ago.
