I think after is just fine but during isn't. You'd be walking a fairly fine line though. I'd run with it, worst case scenario you'd undoubtedly be fine if you just really heavily insinuated it. Of course before we start almost agreeing or getting along I'll do my part towards keeping the status quo and say I don't see where you get off on killing guys! I admit to being one of the people sticking up for her, but only in the sense that I don't think it was fair to bring her writing into it.

I give credit to any and all who post their work and risk abuse. There is only one person here who's stories/scores I mock and that is because according to him he is this "mainstream" best seller who in his words has probably published more by himself than everyone on the site combined yet he can't find a red H with a GPS otherwise, I don't pick at anyone's work.

I am familiar with the MSF3k type stories. There was one done on a scouries story that as hilarious. MY first story here "Almost perfect" was horrible, maybe not the premise and action but the grammar. As for grammar issues unless they are really enormous I think you're vastly over estimating how important getting that stuff right is vs having a damn good story. Readers are surprisingly forgiving. Though I will admit having a fan base probably doesn't hurt anything when it comes to winning contests. It had never really crossed my mind prior to you mentioning it and yet it's about as simple and undeniable that I feel like you just told me trees are easier to fell with axes than with running drop kicks.

I rarely pick on other people's writing and usually when I do it's because we've wandered into some sort of "grey" area in an argument that at least on the edges was about talent.

I've considered doing an editted version of a lot of my stories. I think I eventually will but only for one reason and not until I start my own site and find an artist to work with. I've noticed that with a few exceptions almost all of my stories can be boiled down to about two dozen characters and if I could get the art to go with them I think it would be worth it just to change things up but that's a ways down the road anyway.
