Can anyone contact Perdita?

I went to collect Perdy at Manchester Airport this afternoon - and she didn't arrive. The Airline told me that no one with the name she gave me was on that flight (the only one today).

If anyone does have her mobile number, can they either give her a ring or send me an email so that I can.

Of course, if she didn't leave Venice for England, there's some possibility she didn't leave the US for Venice... Just possibly her land-line number might be useful.

Could she have been bumped to that flight?

Thanks for that Og. I just rang them - and they are closed for the night; the airport is empty apart from the skeleton night staff, who, wudntya guess, can't access passenger lists.

If that did happen, she must have gone somewhere...

Yeah but... tonight and tomorrow she was going to be staying with me. Her main digs can't take her until the 1st.

I have just searched Yahoo Italia.

Venice is just recovering from an Aqua Alta (high water) today (1.08 metres above normal). Not a serious one but could have affected Perdita's travel to the airport.

It is a possibility.

True, but... Her flight was actually early (depending on the source, up to 25 mins early), could just have been a tail-wind, but that doesn't sound like they waited until the last moment for someone who didn't show...

Maybe Pops' joking suggestion about the Italian Stallion and the rocking gondola was right - that would affect anyone's sense of priorities.

My current 'best guess' is that she's in a good hospital in Italy - and that as soon as she's well enough, she'll be in touch.

All the other options seem to me to be 'stranger than fiction' as they say: possible, but most unlikely.

But if anyone does hear anything that isn't guesswork - tell us all!

Venice Airport can be a pain to get out to from the city, I missed a flight outta there...if she lost her bag or had it stolen she may have lost her contact details for folks...I hope she's okay.

its all conjecture at this point
but as i said in another thread, we should think on the positive side of things. ..though i know its hard not to worry. i have faith in P. shes a strong woman with tons of smarts.
id like to know what the skinny is too and will be keeping tabs here as well.
