Can a robot be a futa?

I may be deviating from the OP question, but I consider a futa as a female appearing hermaphrodite. Both sex organs are present.
However, as someone with a bit of engineering knowledge, I think a designer would likely NOT make anything detachable. An engineer would design the robot to be either/or. Now a male-to-female sex change uses a penis to form a vagina. So I think an engineer would create a vagina that can be turned inside out, into a penis, and then back again, using perhaps, compressed air. This would eliminate the need to have both sets of organs present at the same time.

The air pressure required would be dangerously high, and getting the aesthetics right of an invertible cock would be a huge challenge. Far simpler to include both in the design as distinct features.

As for detachability, I've always been amused by the idea of being able to unscrew a cock.

I have to disagree, the structural stresses expected of a penis aren't really so great that I think it would be a problem to be detachable, especially if there were, for instance, structural rods stored within the groin to screw onto, anchored well. I think the repair-ability and variety possible with modular units would be well worth whatever risk of damage there is. And given that we don't have to account for muscle, the frame can be made more than firm enough beneath whatever false skin you prefer to have both sets present if the owner wishes.

Though, a vaginal cavity which can be turned inside out is a great feature to have, especially for post-coitus cleaning and, I'm thinking, lube-dispenser servicing. I'm more concerned with any kind of fluid storage within the chassis, as I don't think I'd want a sex-droid without pseudo-saliva, tears, etc... but I also like not being electrocuted.

My Sci-Fi stories (Rembrandt/Fading Stars/Express Delivery" have synthetic lifeforms with genitalia options. Wouldn't call them "Futa" since that seems to imply a lot more nowadays than merely "girls with dicks (and maybe balls)"

Oh, I don't know. Some people like being zapped while having sex. 😁

Anyhoo, I would imagine the control systems would be low voltage and low current. In my mind, the power to drive the being would follow the equivalent of the arterial network. Pretty well protected from most injuries.

Perhaps the better term would be "modular". Now I'm thinking of an attache case filled with different sizes and gimicks.

I mean, if it looks like a futa, it might as well be called one unless there's a better term in the moment. You wouldn't call a trans person a futa, and I think we're not using "hermaphrodite" anymore in this context, though "intersex" lacks in romance as a term. But a robot doesn't have sex in the first place (barring scifi mobile artificial wombs, and then only to a point) other than what an observer gives it.

So there's an idea for a story: some advanced robot goes through dysphoria and convinces its owner to move its brain to a more suitable chassis.

Not quite the same thing, based on humans rather than robots, but I just came across this article and it seemed at least marginally relevant: https://stanfordvr.com/mm/2016/11/won-etsbs-homuncular-flexibility.pdf

Basically, VR-type settings allow people to control "bodies" which aren't shaped like their own, e.g. longer arms or differently placed, etc. etc. In some cases, people can adapt to these easily, but others aren't intuitive. Some interesting food for thought in the question of what body types are and aren't intuitive to the human mind. The body they get can also influence their behaviour, e.g. men behaving differently when given a female avatar, or old vs. young avatars.

Booooo... FOH.

I wouldn't call any hermaphrodite a futa, I think people just started calling those characters futa, and it stuck, since futa is short for futanari, the name of the hentai genre- not sure what the characters were called before that.

I don't see why a robots dick need be hard all the time, either.

The next video will show how to make a detachable penis and its uses in VR. (The penis is fully functional for a female model, as well as detachable. She enjoys fucking her futanari clone's ass (Sarah Futanari_1) with it and using it as a 'live' dildo with full hepatic feedback (The model 'Sarah Female' loves big hard black cock, hence the preferred skin tone. Note pronounced pubis augmentation morph to adapt the penis to her pubic area.)

"Hepatic" = "related to the liver". Did you mean "haptic"?

I kind of love this question based off the fun logical errors that take place when thinking of robots.

Can a robot be futa? Did the robot identify as not being futa? Did it one day wake up in its little robot mind and started crunching 1's and 0's. Every so often it throws a 2 or 5 out there. Hell some days it might be a 6 that got mixed into all that but then comes the day that everything changes. 1100101901 wait a 9? Suddenly this robot is aware and suddenly it's a girl and with little warning at all it hydraulically creates a dick with drops of oil at the tip. Who will stand over who now? Humans with their fleshy dicks or robot futa with her dick of metal and oil.

The rest of the piece gets really preachy. Something about the environment and young people and their vapes. It started off well enough though. Truly.

2022 is a hell of a year thanks to that alone.

Lol. Inspired by the ancient 1970s land yachts. Lots of chrome, vinyl top, burgundy velour trim, a huge trunk...
Oh yeah. Valour pussy hair, chrome balls, vinyl bra and panties... git cho ass over here, Lady Landau Brougham, gonna have the G-Body shuffle when I'm done with you.

It's your robot and your story, seeing as robots aren't mainstream yet, you can make it what you want and how you want.

So anyway back to the question, female presenting robot with detachable dick, futa or not?

I really don't understand the question, a robot, whether it dreams of electronic sheep or not, is at best a machine. Adding sex organs and programming makes it a sex toy. Having a detachable dick makes it even more of a sex toy, so you can call it whatever you want. however, futanari is the Japanese word for Hermaphroditism which means having the sex characteristics of both male and female so it can't be a removable dick if you want to call it futa.
