Now I'm by no means a fan of the word Futa. I think using it as a term to describe real human women is perhaps a but derogatory. But I'm putting the politics aside, because Im talking about robots right now. I wanna know what you all think about the following question:

If a female presenting robot has a detachable dick, is she a futa? I'd imagine having a dick full time would be burdensom for any robot, not because there's anything wrong with having a dick but because a robot dick wouldn't be able to go flaccid. It would be a fairly solid attachment until we get into hyper realistic human android territory.

Okay we're not playing with Detroit Become Human or Star Trek esq robots in this sandbox. The robots in this discussion are at maybe Star Wars levels of technology. Advanced, but not convincingly biological.

So anyway back to the question, female presenting robot with detachable dick, futa or not?

IMO I'm not sure if that term would apply since it is detachable..but then again..I am no expert on the subject..

I think you could. After all, it meets the Wikipedia definition, and Wikipedia is never wrong. 🤪

I can see the ad now.

"Lifestyle Robotics presents the Futamatic 3000. Have it do you, your way."

And you could use an inflatable penis. Thick plastic filled with a silicone gel.

Edit - there are liquids that go hard when an electrical current is passed through them.

Futanari are fantasy creatures, and there's no reason you can't have a robot futa. I've written stories with futa robots.
I've also written a story where a trans woman has a synthetic body with a full-sensory peripheral cock, but she isn't a futa.

Magnetorheological fluids, if you're interested. Gets away from a detachable penis that could get lost.

But consider it remains connected to the robots computer via Bluetooth or something so it could work while detached

If you want. You're the designer... 😎

I'm just the engineer sitting in my dark cupboard providing technical information.

I initially speed-read the thread title as "Can a robot be a futon?" and thought, sure, if we're talking about convertible robots like say, a "transformer", it can certainly double as a vestigial bed, and we all know what beds are useful for.

But then deep memory kicked me in the butt, "Futanari, you moron!". Oh. Chicks with dicks. Something I skip past when browsing porn. So to answer the question being posed, "Why not? It's all fantasy anyway!"

😁

Perhaps the better term would be "modular". Now I'm thinking of an attache case filled with different sizes and gimicks.

I mean, if it looks like a futa, it might as well be called one unless there's a better term in the moment. You wouldn't call a trans person a futa, and I think we're not using "hermaphrodite" anymore in this context, though "intersex" lacks in romance as a term. But a robot doesn't have sex in the first place (barring scifi mobile artificial wombs, and then only to a point) other than what an observer gives it.

So there's an idea for a story: some advanced robot goes through dysphoria and convinces its owner to move its brain to a more suitable chassis.

Hmmm where is that one??? Rooting around now.
