The story is about a programmer in the city, who used to be a small town boy. He gets fired while on a job and comes across a dieing homeless man with a brief case. The dying man asks him to deliver the briefcase to his wife, he does so.
There is a petite lady who works at the gas station. He thinks she is underage for a lot of the story. She has a big dog who might be named Brutus.
He gets re-hired by the company who’s system he was working on to finish/fix it.
