Can’t enter the chat room

I took this response from a different post because it’s the same thing that happened to me. And they were responded with that they were banned, so if I was banned I’d like to know why because like they I said I was just sitting there doing nothing.

• Hello, I was logged on last night and was just sitting on chat and was getting ready to talk to someone. When I did, I got the cant enter chat right now try again later box. Clicked retry. I figured there was an issue with the chat so I shut down my computer and restarted it. Same thing. I said screw it and went to sleep. Woke up and tried to get on, same thing. It won't let me. Can a mod find out why for me and let me know. If I was banned, I would like to know what for, because like I said, I wasnt talking to anybody. just sitting there. •

I got banned... apparently for life.

It's what happens when people who have never had any sort of power in real life are given control of a chatroom. They become petty tyrants and expect others to participate in an ass kissing competition. Those who play along come in an exchange meaningless greetings or express things they moderator will agree with. Those who don't play along, or dare to say what's on their minds, get banned.

Most people who have actually held power in real life and who wouldn't let running a chatroom go to their heads - want nothing to do with being an online hall monitor - so it's left to those who life has denied even the meager bit of prestige offered by the position.
