Calling for back-up

As the proud daddy of four girls it is my pleasure to say this is what life is all about.

I really don't know what we did for entertainment till the little ones came but the clubs and nights out don't hold a candle to watching a little one discover the world for the first time. Listening to their discoveries as they make friends and learn to do new things. Lets see first pet, first bike, first boyfriend. first broken heart, first prom, first night away from home. Yeah mine are getting older now soon it will be weddings and grandbabies. (Grandkids, the really good reason to have kids of your own)

Money is always a problem but what good is it if there is no one to leave it to. In fact it would seem that one of our main purposes in life is to pass on what we have learned to the next ones in line. True it doesn't have to be your own kids or even kids at all.

There is nothing in the world as great or as frustrating as kids unless it is husbands and wives.

If kids are what you want then I hope that you get them but time is running out. Sit the hubby down and have a long looong talk. It may be that you never have biological kids even if you try but trying may be the only way to save the marriage that you have now.

"It was so important to me, that I wouldn't have married him otherwise."

Good Luck

Oh, my god: somebody else actually saw Bruce Willis in 'The Last Boyscout'!

OMG!! YES YES YES!!! THAT'S IT!!

Thank you Uncle Beel! I've been whackin' my brain since posting that, trying to remember the name of that movie. It just would NOT come to me. Yep!...A most memorable line that will most surely go down in history right along with "Here's lookin' at you, kid." lol Thanks so much for the mental relief...*big sigh*...thank ya, thank ya very much <VERY bad elvis impression>.

There is all the crying, yelling, spitting, pooping, diapers, bottles, up every hour because they're sick, tantrums, meltdowns, frustrations, anger, sorrow, and tears.

Sounds like a relationship I once had. *rimhot* Seriously though...thanks so much for your input, Lajo. (Where ya been, man?) Seems to be the general consensus that the rewards of having a child far outweigh the sacrifices involved, and I look forward to the day when my husband and I will be able to attest to that very fact as well. <smile>

It's hearing statements like this that makes my heart smile, Fallen. Thank you.

Hey LL...I have been around. Tho, I spent last week visiting my mother in Florida. Now it is back to work. oh joy!

A year or so ago, my daughter and I were playing on the bed while i was trying to make it (she was jumping up and down). She stopped, looked at me, and said those 3 little words I so love to hear. "Daddy, you're funny!"
