I had my first real spanking last Wednesday, and the marks and a bruise can still be seen today (Monday evening). There are 4 distinct finger marks and a bruise about the size of a 50c piece on my left buttock.

Now He's threatening to punish me by not spanking me.....cos I enjoyed it too much.....

Well, I'm posting from the other side of this, but we tend to not leave marks where they will be visible (being a nurse means that I can't have marks visible, and I just have it ingraned in me to not leave them where people can see them).

I mark his back ... where he will feel it as he leans against his truck seat while driving when he's on the road, and I also like to leave marks on his ass from the flogger/paddle/my hand (which also remind him of playtime when he's driving ). The size of the mark on his back varies, but usually about the size of a 50 cent piece.

LOL, that is a tricky one and can work wonders. Last time I looked my largest bruise was a few inches wide..certainly an accomplishment!! I used to mark well, but those days are gone it seems and it now takes a lot of hard work to gat anything to last more than an hour or so.

I mark really well, too. But I am in the medical field also, so I have to be careful. I do not like haveing to justify my pastimes to my co workers.

Sometimes though, after a good session with one of my regular Doms, she will text message me at work, and the message says "no visible marks" and that is like a mental mark, and I remember and I smile...

Quick question - is it true that we "toughen up" over time as the body (or parts of it) get used to being smacked? I did have quite visible red/purple marks and the bruise came out a day or so later. They're almost faded now (after a week). It didn't hurt to sit or move, but I loved glancing in the full length mirror and seeing the marks HE put there, and remembering.......

It has been my experience it happens. I know when I first began playing, I would bruise easily, though not painfully..the marks would take a week or so to fade. Even my first couple of sessions with Francisco left me marked (one bruise lasted months and we thought it was permanent), but now unless he bites hard, pinches real hard, there are no lasting marks, and even then they fade fast. This was a particularly hard session with flogging, and paddling, as well as the crop, and seems to have marked, but not near what it once would have. There is still not a lot of pain involved unless he pinches them hard.

What I also noticed was when we were alone more often than now and having regular sessions, I toughened up in other ways. My skin which I am told is ultra soft remained soft, but the flesh and muscle began to toughen up as if I was into heavy exercise. It was a thought it might have been from tensing during a session, but that doesn't make sense as even when I do that in regular exercise to a larger degree, it doesn't have the same effect. IMO it was the perfect way to tone up!!

Ooh.... totally adore marks. No specific 'brands' but anything that'll remind me of fun times... bruises last longer on me than any scratches or bites that i've gotten, and I haven't had the pleasure of a whipping that has left marks... yet
