Yesterday was my birthday. Happy birthday to me. As one of my gifts a friend gave me a 200mm reconstituted quartz crystal ball on a display stand.

I read that the ball must be charged during a full moon before using it. I read that only I should touch and handle the ball, otherwise it will lose energy. I also read that the ball should not be in direct sunlight because it's combustible.

The thing weighs a ton, 32 pounds, as much as two bowling balls and is 8 inches across.

I sent away for a book on scrying, the art of reading a crystal ball, but can anyone else offer any pointers or advice on the subject? Does anyone use a crystal ball? It definitely has my focused attention and my curiosity piqued.

The ball is actually used as a means of focussing ones attention on the job in hand.

Let me have a peek at that crystal ball there Freddie.

Ah yes, I see you're still trying to pass yourself off as female. Lots of luck with that.

ooook rock is NOT combustible, unless you choose to use a sonic generator at the specific sound for that type of crystal.but that pulverizes it. you dont always have to cover or wrap it, and silk or velvet if you do. to charge it using moon put it out under a waxing, (new to full) moon then cover or take it out of the visual area once the wain has begun. crystals are used for scrying or focusing energy such as they are used in lazers. points are better for that tho.

please dont drop it, 32 lbs is enough to break some metatarsals

The 'combustible' part probably means that it can focus sunlight like a lens, setting things behind it on fire. Always be careful with oddly shaped glass objects and sunlight, your house might burn down.

Don't forget the necessary herbal incense and deep breathing. :)

Locally there was a serious house fire last month caused by sunlight through a crystal ball setting fire to the curtains. Keep it out of sunlight and preferably covered with a cloth when not in use.
