Calling All Lit Subs!

A secretary with a bad keyboard? What other skills do you have? Can you take dicktation?

Yea, com'ere. I'll show you how good my dicktation is. ;-)

I don't think this is a bad idea, as long as it doesn't get out of hand. First, remember it is against Lit rules to out anyone. So, to name names in a thread and call them scum, etc., might be getting close to that. And, there are always two sides to a situation, so would it always be subs against the Doms? If so, who would be their to decide where truth really is? Would some names be soiled just because the sub got pissed and wanted revenge?

I'd think, if such a club was to exist, exchanging information in private might work best. That way, necessary info could be passed around, and the Dom in question would never know if his scuzzy goose was cooked. He would just not get any more dates from Litsters.

Sure, he could change his screen name, but if he wasn't aware he'd been "tagged" he would be less likely to do that. If he'd been outed in a thread, that might be the first thing he does. Then, you start at step one, again.

And, Doms can do the same thing. There are subs out there that don't play by the rules, too. But, in any event, taking this step could be a good thing. SS&C only goes so far. A collective group of sensible minds might be a good deterrent. The difficult part would be making sure that it doesn’t go overboard and take all info as true. Consistency and fair play would always be necessary.

So, is there a name for this group? Safe Sub's Club? But, that might be confusing being SSC. The Sub's Club? TSC. Wise Sub's Club? WSC.

Shit, I'm a Dom. Am I going to lose my union card, by posting this?

I believe in a fair trial by a jury of my peers. Not some fucking high schoolish sub jealousy circle jerk.

And I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't know what playground Dom they are wanting to grill here. An asshole online? That's a fucking novel concept.

But it's all entertainment right? This beats the scat thread hands down. Or lid down.

I say cut to the chase and name names.

Welcome! And thank you for stopping by and posting! :)

No Sir, you won't lose your Union card by posting what you did. What you said makes sense - and I think that the exchanging of necessary information in private would indeed be far wiser. No name has been thought of yet - nor decided on. So far though, we have only one candidate for Secretary - who will no longer be seriously considered.

In essence, I agree with this post.

I find this all juvenile and well,... playgroundish.

But carry on... please.

Yes, please. Encourage this. ;-) They need a mascot too. Have any ideas?

Part of the problem is that you don't know if your poor little abused sub is a 23 year old white female as advertised, or a 53 year old black male pretending. You have no way of knowing if 5 people you have come to know and love are in fact one person stirring up shit.

Or have you tried poutine? Not a fan of it myself.

Or of this club either, but I couldn't join anyways. I'm on the wrong end of the flogger for membership.

Poutine? What is that?

And not being fans of this... that makes 2 of us. ;-)

Maybe The Subjective Club might be a good name. Geez girls, doesn't it make sense to just come out of fairytale land and realise that sometimes the big bad wolf will bite the daydreaming princess, and move on with that much more wisdom and smarts? Sometimes two people just are not meant for each other, so will that then qualify someone for this proposed list becasue he didn't want to do as he was told or expected by particular subs. I know when I was looking I came across some fairly odd and at times risky Doms, but I figured that was to be expected and as I said before, I like any sub did have a choice to move on and did. Perhaps it is not so much that they are bad, as that they have not given you what you wanted thus the desire to still be in that space and hounding them out of spite and/or hurt feeling?!! Hardly a reason to label someone...speaking of labels, how come given people around here continuously jump up and down about labels such as submissive, switch, Dominant, Top etc., why aren't they jumping up and down about this?

Maybe I'm a little sensitive, but long ago before there was a literotica, someone who I was meeting got a letter from a "concerned sub" with a list of malicious lies about me. We were able to get past it, but still it wasn't a nice thing.

Ask Richard about literotica. If I remember correctly, he got a visit from his local police over some made up allegations. Todd lost his job from giving out too much information. Shit does get out of hand and when it happens the "lit rules" don't offer much protection.

Perhaps it's because no one here really takes this whole thing seriously. It is pretty silly, after all.

Yes, I remember both those stories and several others from the GB who've been "touched" by Lit'sters allegations. Lots of damage can be done.

So far, I've not read or seen any post on this thread that I'd qualify as helpful. And we've had countless threads about predators and protection in this forum. This is not a new topic for us here.

And no... I don't HAVE to go anywhere, Victoria. I can and will post here as long as I so choose.

It's hurtful to be told to leave a thread. I'm hurt. My rights as an American have been infringed on. Maybe we should start a thread about subs that are against free speech. Perhaps a club for those who have been silenced.

Perhaps your right.

LOL, true, though usually they come from a different POV, perspective and meaning...this one just seems to be fuelled by damaged pride and possibly revenge to soothe the ego.

:rose: Please continue to do so as it seems we need all the sanity and experience we can get here these days. :)

Very good point. This one is really not about on/off line safety and how to detect potential predators.

And thank you, catalina. I'm not going anywhere, and not soon for sure. For one thing, I'm going to need all the sanity and support I can get, in the coming days.

Oh and BTW, thanks for moving this thread.

How about the Gagged Gaggle for a club name? LOL.

I am not so sure I agree.

From what little I know of Victoria she has a kind soul and big heart. There may be some niavity present, however...I find that a bit of a refreshing contrast to some of the jadeness you see often around here.

Victoria,

I do not know if you decided to start something like this because you are going through a trough time in your life right now, or if you just feel this might be a good way to help protect people. Either way, I have to believe that your intentions are good, even if the execution of your idea might be misguided.

As some constructive critism, try to look past the sarcasm and consdier what some of the people have said in this thread. Starting a club like this with the stated goals you suggested has the very realistic potential of hurting people.

Ask yourself. Is that what you want to do? My guess is that you do not want to hurt people. I honestly think that starting a club like this is not the way to go about handling the problem of predators.

You are far to trusting in people and is why you probably didn't think anyone would use something you created to help people as a means to hurt others.

your best bet in helping others is to first be a good example yourself. Then reach out to those who are in your circle of friends. Do not take try to take the responsibility for the safety of the world. It can't be done and that is a reality you have to face and accept.

I would ask you kindly to take some time and rethink this. I'd be glad to talk with you further about it. I am sure there are others who would do so also.
