Oh Guild Wars I own that. what are the stats on your rig?

and trust me my bedroom is a nerd's wet dream

I built it a year and a half ago or so, it's a 2.8 gh dual core processor, 4 gigs of ram, windows xp (going to upgraded to 7 32bit and 8 gigs of ram in the near future), 512 megs of video ram (also going to upgrade soon). It's nothing super fancy, I bought it because I needed a machine for photo editing as my old one died completely right before I was supposed to shoot a wedding. I spent 750 or so dollars on it, and so far it plays any game I've thrown at it.

A friend benchmarked it with some video game benchmarker program and it got 12k, which was pretty good for a machine built on a light budget.

Haven't decided yet. I don't really keep up with what's the latest, I just go into the shop and browse

AWWW well i actually can't say much we picked the 5870 on the fly... but it was bundled with the processor so it was a good deal. Best card that was bundled with it and we only wanted to get that processor

Well I like the 5870... although its huge. Then again I am used to the graphics cards from the 90s!

Ooo now this is my kind of thread!

Have a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and N64 emulator with about 20 games each. I do prefer retro games to modern games and i am not a big fan of PC modern warfare games like CoD4 or WoW or Assassins creed. I still have a PS2 and a Wii though (even if it is a kiddies console) with a few top games (Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy 2 etc) but i usually end up playing about 4-5 hours in total playing games. Currently the game i am looking forward to most is Sonic 4 coming out at the end of hte year. I am currently playing Sonic 2 (old school!) at the moment.

i've been playing nba 2k11 and wow, probably the best sports game i have ever played... for those sports gamers, even better than the show.
The show is great but baseball is kind of easy to nail as a sport. But basketball is so intricate and fluid its hard to program a game to replicate whats on the court... holy fuck 2k did it this year absolutely amazing game
