Welcum! I'm glad you joined and I really hope you like it here. There are many nice people here at the Playground. Unless you have a tough skin, stay away from the General Board.
 
It's been a while since we had rain - and we NEED it. It's so dry here that the fire hazard is way elevated. My plants are also all so dry that they need a real watering, not just from the sprinkler.

We are almost 4" under the rain that we normally get by this time of the year. That's a lot! We had chance of it the other day - and didn't get it. I'm really hoping for today - or my water bill will be horrible.

yes, rain would be much cheaper :)
a nice soft sprinkle that last for a full day would benice for you.... it would be godo for the plants and earth the way it sounds.... let the water obsorb backinto everything before it crumbles apart

Think yourselves lucky - where I am we have some pretty strict water restrictions happening because we have so little water. No watering at all with a hose or sprinkler. Watering by buckets for only two hours a day on alternating days of the week. No washing of cars. No filling of pools. No hosing down pathways or driveways. All my grass is brown and crunchy and the only thing that seems to be alive are weeds!!!! :confused:

maybe they need less nutrients to grow?
Like how the hell do you kill a dandilion? seriously now! they could survive in a bed of rusted nails....

If we keep up with this way - we'll be in the same boat. I'm hoping that it rains tonight - like the weathermen have said.

It was starting to sprinkle here when we got home 45 minutes ago. We are supposed to have good rain after midnight. *crossing fingers*

Thank you! That would be nice. I'm just happy that my trees have taken and the flowers are growing. (my avatar is one of my iris as of this afternoon)
