But how would you go about testing the ground? Usually I just brush my foot back and forth a few times and see how much moisture I see. I have a feeling you have something else in mind?

Believe me darlin I have a keen eye for wettness...I will be sure to point it out to you I must say though using the brushing foot method is a very good method to use...although I usually use my hand.

Ohh you are right...the softer brushes seems to make the moisture come to the surface alot more...

Just a suggestion from an amateur... you might want to dip your fingers down in to really test. I think the top can be a little misleading. *biting my lip in anticipation*

You are very right. We need to make sure that we find every spot that might be wet...
